The business
West African Resources Limited is an Australia-based gold mining company. The Company is engaged in mining, mineral processing, exploration, project development, community and social sustainability, and rehabilitation within the West African country of Burkina Faso. It operates through two segments: the Mining Operations, which comprises the Sanbrado Gold Project operations located in Burkina Faso, and Construction and Exploration & Evaluation (E&E) segment comprises mines under construction and exploration and evaluation projects in locations other than Sanbrado. Its Sanbrado Gold Project is located approximately 90 kilometers (kms) east-southeast of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. Its Kiaka Gold Project is approximately 45 km south of Sanbrado Gold Mine in Burkina Faso. Its Toega Gold Project is located 14 km southwest of the Company’s Sanbrado gold operation. Its tenement portfolio comprises over 1,334 km2 over the Markoye fault region in central and southern Burkina Faso.
