Esports media and software company Esports Mogul (ASX: ESH) has further extended its game title catalogue available on its proprietary online platform Mogul.gg.

The move intends to multiply the company’s growing presence in the global eSports market that’s currently going from strength to strength on the back of growing interest in both amateur and competitive gaming.

Possibly most significant is the expansion into the mobile gaming market that is attracting more casual gamers than any other segment.

One of Australia’s brightest eSports gaming companies has added popular games including Hearthstone, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Clash Royale and Arena of Valor with both console and mobile support confirmed.

The news sets out a clear strategy of incremental gaming additions to Mogul.gg.

Just last week, Esports Mogul expanded its PC and console game catalogue with the inclusion of popular game titles such as Fortnite, Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and NBA 2K19, thereby serving up some of the best-selling games of 2018.

Mobile gaming

The four additional titles announced today are mobile-focused and forecast to generate a strong boost to the number of users and market recognition amongst gamers of Mogul.gg as a gaming platform.

Hearthstone currently attracts around 100 million players while Arena of Valor rakes in 200 million players on a cumulative basis. Meanwhile, Clash Royale sports around 354 million downloads to date.

Esports Mogul said it expects its growing gaming catalogue to aggressively drive user acquisition via Mogul.gg and will attract a wider range of gamers in all demographics, interested in a spectrum of different genres.

“With the company now hosting mobile, PC and console game titles on Mogul.gg, they will have offerings for all types of gamers across the globe,” Esports Mogul said.

The growth of Esports

Esports is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. It is estimated that there are currently 2.2 billion gamers across all platforms globally, and, in 2017, the total video game market size was estimated to be US$116 billion, according to market analysts.

In research provided by gaming analyst company Newzoo, mobile game revenue accounts for over 50% of the global games market and generated approximately US$70.3 billion in 2018.

Esports Mogul has made several definitive steps over the past 12 months to gain exposure to the growing gaming market, including the provision of cross-platform support that includes mobile, PC and console playability.

“Adding mobile titles to Mogul.gg soon after releasing a popular list of console titles is indicative of the leaps and bounds the company is making in 2019. We are thrilled to be able to now offer all forms of gamers a way to play via Mogul.gg, and we have a more extensive PC game title list to be announced soon,” said Gernot Abl, managing director of Esports Mogul.
