CleanSpace wins US healthcare contracts for its respiratory protection devices
The distribution contracts will give CleanSpace Respirators access to most of the 6,000 hospitals across the US.
Respiratory protection solutions provider CleanSpace Holdings (ASX: CSX) has been awarded three healthcare distribution contracts for the North American and US markets.
Two of the deals are with leading group purchasing organisations (GPOs) while the third is with medical equipment distributor Medline Industries LP.
Medline is the one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of medical supplies, with more than 34,000 staff serving 2.5 million customers in North America.
One of the GPOs is American healthcare improvement company Premier Inc, which will offer its members – including 4,400 US hospitals and 250,000 other providers – access to special pricing and pre-negotiated terms for CleanSpace’s proprietary Halo respirator range.
The three contracts will provide access to a critical network of purchasing and distribution channels servicing most of the 6,000 hospitals in the US, which is currently the world’s largest healthcare market.
Important milestones
CleanSpace chairperson Bruce Rathie said the deals represent important milestones in the company’s healthcare sales and distribution strategy.
“Although it is too early to determine what revenue might be generated from these relationships, they represent an important step forward for our strategic growth initiatives in the US healthcare market,” he said.
“We believe our advanced premium solutions for the protection of US healthcare workers will deliver material benefits such as staff retention, cost efficiencies and best practice management of exposure risks we look forward to working with these well-established and highly-credentialed organisations.”
