Brookside Energy (ASX: BRK) is nearing completion of surface production facilities at its Suttles pad ahead of a planned two-well drilling program in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) in Oklahoma’s Anadarko Basin.
The facilities are being constructed to receive, process, and support first sales of oil and gas from the upcoming Sabres 2-1-1S-3W SXH1 and Whalers 2-1-1S-3W WXH2 wells.
Brookside has also advanced electrical service and gas takeaway preparations as Kenai Drilling Rig 18 nears release from its current program.
The Sabres well will target the Sycamore Formation and the Whalers well will target the Woodford Formation, with each well to be drilled from the Suttles pad and featuring an approximately 1.5-mile lateral section.
Suttles Pad Facilities
Brookside’s Suttles pad facilities include two production trains designed to support the Sabres and Whalers wells once drilling and completion activities move through to tie-in.
The production infrastructure includes oil storage tanks, separators, heater treaters, gas conditioning equipment, and vapour combustion equipment.
Kenai Drilling Rig 18 is nearing release from its current drilling program and will move to the Suttles pad after completing those operations.
Brookside expects the use of an active working rig to provide operational continuity because the rig, crew and systems are already operating in the field.
Power and Gas Preparations
Brookside’s natural gas purchaser, Enerfin Gathering Company, has staked the pipeline route to the Suttles pad and is progressing permitting ahead of pipeline installation, while Oklahoma Gas & Electric has started work to provide electrical service to the pad.
Chief executive officer David Prentice said construction had continued to progress while Rig 18 completes its current drilling program.
“That has allowed us to use the pre-mobilisation period productively, with surface facilities now substantially complete and power and gas takeaway preparations also advancing,” Mr Prentice said.
“The Suttles pad is the next step in our repeatable, multi-well development model in the SWISH AOI, and reflects the disciplined way we are sequencing activity to grow production and build scale.”
