Zenith Minerals to Accelerate Drilling at Promising Red Mountain Gold Project in Queensland

Zenith Minerals (ASX: ZNC) is fast-tracking preparations for a significant new drilling program after achieving exploration success at its Red Mountain project in Queensland.
New results from two diamond holes Zenith previously drilled have confirmed the expanding scale, consistent grades, and strong continuity of gold mineralisation at Red Mountain.
Assays from the first hole of the company’s 2025 program returned 325 metres at 0.56 grams per tonne gold from 214.9m, while priority assays from a second intersected similar gold mineralisation to a vertical depth of approximately 530m.
Multi-Element Values
Multi-element assays also returned elevated zinc, lead, and silver values including 27.70m at 0.61% zinc, 0.03% lead, and 6.94g/t silver from 237.05m, as well as 19.35m at 0.65 % zinc, 0.03% lead, and 10.72g/t silver from 272.2m.
These not only provide potential by-product credits, but also indicate that current drilling is testing the outer halo of of a larger mineralising system comparable to intrusive related sold deposits such as Mt Wright in Queensland
The first hole tested down-dip extension of an earlier intercept of 129m at 0.51g/t gold from 225m, returning an impressive 139.7m at 1.05g/t.
Zenith will expedite a 10-to-15 hole reverse circulation program in late October to define the full lateral extent of the upper rhyolite sill and target the high-grade core zone of the Red Mountain system.
Footprint Remains Open
Managing director Andrew Smith said that the mineralised footprint remains open and continues to broaden westward and at depth into untested areas, demonstrating Red Mountain’s significant scale potential.
“Final assays confirm additional gold mineralisation across a much wider interval, while the results […] reinforce our confidence in the size and coherence of this system.”
Metallurgical test work shows that much of the gold at Red Mountain is free-milling and non-refractory, indicating a straightforward processing path that aligns with Zenith’s goal of cost-effective gold production.
“With further assays still pending, momentum is building rapidly—and we’re confident we’re advancing towards a significant new gold discovery at Red Mountain,” Mr Smith added.
