The organisers of TOKEN2049, the world’s largest Web3 and crypto conference, have announced a star-studded line-up for the event’s official closing ceremony in September.

Held on the Observation Deck of Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Sands resort, the AFTER2049 ceremony will feature leading names in electronic music such as Danish underground band WhoMadeWho alongside South African DJ and producer Da Capo.

Organisers will treat more than 2000 guests to a “multi-sensory music experience with state-of-the-art productions” and a premium open bar.

Tickets for the 2023 ceremony sold out within minutes and demand for this year’s event is expected to surpass all previous records.

Blown away

TOKEN2049 founder Raphael Strauch promised that guests would be blown away by the closing ceremony.

“This year, we’ve put together an incredible lineup featuring some of the largest names in electronic music and an immersive set-up will transform the venue into a portal of sound and light,” he said.

“AFTER2049 promises more than just music – it will be a symphony of experiences where every element is crafted for an unforgettable night which will redefine the electronic party scene in Singapore.”

AFTER2049 will be sponsored by companies including multichain real-world asset protocol Creditcoin, Incentive; decentralised talent incubator platform MEET48; chain abstraction stack NEAR; liquidity provider and digital asset exchange Darkex; decentralised payments network Gnosis Pay; and digital payment token service provider MetaComp.

Global event

Organised twice a year in Singapore and Dubai, TOKEN2049 is a global Web3 event series where crypto decision-makers can connect to network, exchange ideas and shape the industry.

The event is believed to be the definitive meeting place for entrepreneurs, institutions, industry insiders, investors, builders and anyone with a crypto curiosity.

Next month, TOKEN2049 will welcome 20,000 delegates from over 150 countries across four floors of Marina Bay Sands, making it the largest gathering in the Web3 space.

Attendees can expect a range of activities including interactive virtual reality (VR) zones; immersive artificial intelligence (AI) art experiences; an indoor rock climbing monolith; competition-grade padel; cage football; and mixed martial arts.

Over 200 keynote speakers have been confirmed for the event including Binance chief executive officer Richard Teng; Solana founder Anatoly Yakovenko; investor and author Balaji Srinivasan; Maelstrom chief information officer Arthur Hayes; Schelling AI founder Emad Mostaque; and Blueprint founder and longevity expert Bryan Johnson.
