Cobalt Blue Holdings Ltd (ASX: COB) is taking its proprietary processing technology into a proposed US-based refinery for deep-sea polymetallic nodules.
In this interview, James Whelan speaks with Cobalt Blue CEO and Managing Director Dr Andrew Tong about the company's new US$150,000 technical contract with consortium partner Glomar Minerals. The work will support the Preliminary Economic Assessment, or PEA, for Project Infinity.
The proposed project would target several critical minerals, including manganese, copper, nickel and cobalt. Cobalt Blue will use its hydrometallurgical processing expertise and Broken Hill Technology Centre to assess how these materials can be recovered and separated from the nodules.
