Veris Awarded $20m Engineering Survey Contract for Victoria’s Surburban Rail Loop Project

Digital consulting firm Veris (ASX: VRS) has won an engineering survey contract worth as much as $20 million for Victoria’s Suburban Rail Loop East, Tunnels North project—the state government’s flagship transport and urban planning development and a key component of its $100 million Big Build infrastructure program.
The Veris package involves the construction of approximately 10 kilometres of twin tunnels in metropolitan Melbourne between Glen Waverley and Box Hill over the next 3.5 years, and the scope of work will include engineering survey services, data management and digital solutions.
The new contract has increased Veris’ forward workload to over $65 million over the medium to long-term, supported by the company’s $3 million acquisition earlier this year of Melbourne spatial solutions company Spatial Vision Innovation.
Trusted Engineering Partner
Veris chief executive officer Michael Shirley said the contract reinforced Veris’ position as a trusted partner in delivering data-led precision engineering survey solutions for complex infrastructure projects.
“Our team has deep technical expertise, advanced spatial technologies, and a proven track record in supporting major tunnelling and transport initiatives,” he said.
“We look forward to contributing our capabilities to ensure the successful delivery of this critical stage of the Suburban Rail Loop East project.”
Recent Project Wins
The rail contract adds to $2 million of recent project wins for Veris incorporating innovative and high-value data capture, digital solutions, consulting and spatial-data advisory services.
They include advanced data capture for the Transgrid HumeLink East project in New South Wales, road network data capture and analysis for the Shire of Ashburton in Western Australia, and the implementation of automated software to streamline digital workflows and enhance efficiency as part of a road safety enforcement initiative for an undisclosed government agency.
“These projects reflect growing demand for our digital-first capabilities across critical sectors,” Mr Shirley said.
“Our ability to integrate advanced data capture technologies with digital solutions and proprietary platforms combined with our growing digital consulting expertise, continues to position Veris as a trusted partner in delivering technology-led transformation.”
