Titan Minerals Expands Dynasty Project in Ecuador with New Cerro Verde Discoveries

Titan Minerals (ASX: TTM) continues to grow its 3.1-million-ounce Dynasty gold project in Ecuador, with trenching and channel sampling confirming two new areas of mineralisation at the Cerro Verde prospect.
The two new areas lie to the west and southwest of Cerro Verde mineralisation, with the latest exploration work programs defining a number of wide and high-grade results.
The company believes these areas contain the near-term potential to further identify shallow resource extensions at Cerro Verde.
Kaliman Porphyry Prospect
One of the two areas identified in the new field work is located to the southwest of the Kaliman porphyry prospect, with sampling returning several significant intercepts highlighting mineralisation over a strike of approximately 300 metres.
Highlights from the new trench results include 10.2m at 3.8 grams per tonne gold and 8.3g/t silver, with 4.0m at 8.75g/t gold and 14.8g/t silver.
The sample results from a number of channels have also confirmed results from limited shallow historical drilling in the vicinity.
Brecha-Comanche West Extension
Elsewhere, Titan has identified a new area of mineralisation at the Brecha-Comanche West extension, with wide and high-grade results in surface trenching and channel sampling.
The results have extended mineralisation a further 180m to the west of the prospect, with a hit of 8.6m at 5.8g/t gold and 115.9 g/t silver, including 6.0m at 8.1g/t gold and 163.6g/t silver among the best results.
Chief executive officer Melanie Leighton said that Titan had extended shallow, porphyry hosted gold mineralisation to the southwest of the Kaliman prospect, unlocking a new area the company could potentially bring into the mineral resource inventory at Dynasty.
Positive Drilling Assays
Earlier this month, Titan reported positive progress with its three-rig diamond drilling program at Cerro Verde also confirming additional mineralisation.
The 6,000m campaign is targeting areas the company selected from conceptual open pit studies at Cerro Verde, with in-fill drilling to grow resources through increased drill density,
The program – which is targeting new mineralisation in areas currently considered as waste within the conceptual open pit – has returned high-grade results from an untested gap zone between the Brecha-Comanche epithermal gold system and the Kaliman porphyry copper-gold system.
Ms Leighton said the results further highlight the considerable potential to grow resources in this part of the system.
