With six rigs working full time, Tietto Minerals (ASX: TIE) continues to wind out more drilling results from Cote d’Ivoire, including a hit of 131 grams per tonne gold.

Infill drilling at the 3.45-million-ounce Abujar project in Cote d’Ivoire has intersected high-grade gold at the AG Core area, located on the main Abujar Shear.

The latest results are led by a 5m intersection assaying at 40.14g/t, beginning at 35m down hole, but with two higher grade intervals — 3m at 66.5g/t and within that, a sub-section of 1.32m at 131.29g/t — and then, from 97m, 2m at 25.58g/t.

This makes it a 200 gram-metre intersect, such holes now numbering 15 at AG core.

Tietto managing director Caigen Wang said 10 of those intersections lie in the first area planned for mining.

“Our infill drilling program continues to add more shallow high-grade gold intersects at AG Core.”

Other holes returned 1m at 69.76g/t and 6m at 5.62g/t gold.

Target area will provide gold for first two years of mining

All came from the AG Core area where a 53-hole program (for 6.583m) is now underway.

These latest results from the AG Core zone are part of an expanded program targeting delineation of measured resources over 2.9km expected to be mined during the first two years of Abujar gold production.

Meanwhile, assays are pending from 84 infill holes over 13,456m drilled at the AFG South zone and AG Core.

The company is planning to complete more than 100,000m of drilling throughout 2022.

Updated life of mine due this quarter

Tietto says an updated life of mine production plan is on track for delivery in the current third quarter of 2022.

The company is targeting its first gold production in the December quarter of 2023, with a first year output of 260,000oz, and over the first six years totalling 1.2 million ounces.

After the present round of drilling is completed, the rigs will move to the main Abujar Shear, which is still largely untested and will see a new resource definition program.
