Terra Uranium Appoints Technical Advisor to Advance US Critical Minerals Strategy

Terra Uranium (ASX: T92) has appointed US Army veteran and mining executive Alex Sunderland as a technical advisor to drive its American critical minerals strategy.
Mr Sunderland has a background in both military service and the US capital markets, with experience spanning defence networks, mining leadership, and investment.
His appointment follows Terra’s expanded agreement with Axiom Group to pursue rare earth element and antimony assets across the United States.
Expanding US Engagement
Mr Sunderland, a decorated veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, has long-standing ties across US military, government, and defence organisations.
He led Red Beryl Mining, where he pushed forward domestic projects considered vital to US supply chain independence, and is a major shareholder in American Antimony Corporation, which recently announced the discovery of a 285-foot stibnite-bearing dike in Nevada.
Terra said Mr Sunderland would play an active role in shaping its US-facing strategy by leveraging his networks to support the company’s engagement with key agencies such as the Department of Defence, the Department of Energy, and the Export-Import Bank.
His role will also include building connections with academic, technology, and clean energy groups, as well as raising Terra’s profile with OTC and broader investor audiences.
As part of his engagement and subject to shareholder approval, Mr Sunderland will receive three million options in Terra at an exercise price of $0.09, expiring 31 December 2026.
Sector Developments
The appointment comes as the US accelerates efforts to secure its own supply of critical minerals and rare earth magnets.
In recent weeks, MP Materials announced a multibillion-dollar partnership with the Department of Defence to construct a magnet manufacturing facility, which also featured a decade-long offtake arrangement for neodymium-praseodymium and included the Department taking a major equity stake.
Non-executive director Niv Dagan welcomed the appointment, noting Mr Sunderland’s dual expertise in defence networks and capital markets.
“We are looking to working with Alex to drive our US critical mineral strategy […] and see a large opportunity to create significant shareholder value,” he said.
