Tambourah Metals to test priority targets at Julimar North nickel tenements

Recharge Metals listed on the ASX earlier this month after raising $5 million in an IPO to advance its copper projects in WA.
Tambourah Metals (ASX: TMB) has identified airborne gravity anomalies and multiple magnetic targets at the Bolgart, Tolarno and Wongan Hills South tenements within the wider Julimar North nickel project in Western Australia.
In its latest update, the company said Bolgart and Wongan Hills South also comprise ultramafic rocks, which are prospective for hosting nickel mineralisation.
The Julimar North strike length contains approximately 80 kilometres of prospective geology and stretches from the town of Wongan Hills to south of Goomalling shire.
Tambourah has contracted Canadian company Expert Geophysics to run a proprietary helicopter-based airborne magnetotelluric (MT) survey over Bolgart and Wongan Hills South.
The survey is due to begin this month with results expected approximately six weeks after completion.
Julimar North
Julimar North is located in WA’s wheatbelt region and comprises seven granted and six pending exploration licences over approximately 604 square kilometres.
The project is located within the Jimperding metamorphic belt which straddles the Lake Grace/Boddington ‘terrane’ boundary.
Chalice Mining’s (ASX: CHN) recent discovery of the Julimar nickel-platinum group elements (PGE) and gold-copper deposit, approximately 35km southeast of Tambourah’s tenements, has reportedly opened up the region for new exploration.
Wongan Hills South
Wongan Hills South is located within 3km of Caravel Minerals’ (ASX: CVV) 1.8 billion tonne copper-gold-molybdenum resource.
The prospect is believed to host approximately 17 priority geophysical targets for first-pass ground electromagnetic surveys to fast-track exploration.
Tambourah has completed landowner permits and is working to develop mineralisation models and extend its ground holding in the area.
Magnetic surveys with additional ground geophysical work are being conducted at Wongan Hills prior to the start of drilling.
Yerrocoin exploration
Tambourah has been granted approvals to explore the new Yerrocoin prospect, located 5km north of Bolgart and approximately 10km east of Caspin Resources’ (ASX: CPN) Yarrawindah nickel-PGE discovery.
The company said it would include exploration for nickel-PGE-copper at Yerrocoin in future work programs.
Re-processing historic surveys
At the Achilles nickel-PGE-copper project, north of Laverton, Tambourah’s geologists have identified four priority targets from re-processing of detailed airborne electromagnetic surveys conducted in 2001 by Western Mining Corporation.
Historical drilling within the tenement immediately above the mineralised ultramafic unit intersected a thick porphyry unit which Tambourah said may represent potential remobilisation of nickel-PGE-copper mineralisation.
Reprocessing of historic geophysical data sets has demonstrated that a significant portion of the Achilles project remains untested by drilling.
Two additional targets, located between Windidda South and Achilles, have been identified in the new geophysical interpretation.
