Telecommunications provider Swift Networks (ASX: SW1) continues to harness its working relationship with Telstra, with the news that it has delivered another significant commercial contract – this time, within the aged care and retirement living sector.

Craigcare, one of Australia’s most established and trusted residential aged care providers, selected Swift and Telstra to deliver Swift’s market-leading solution to its residents. The decision was made after a successful trial of Swift’s services with the parties agreeing to a three-year deal.

Swift’s reseller partnership with Telstra continues to deliver growth and commercial traction with an existing agreement already in place within the mining sector. Last month, major gold company St Barbara (ASX: SBM) selected Swift to upgrade its digital entertainment and connectivity services at its 329-man camp in Leonora, Western Australia, the current site of the huge Gwalia mine.

In the same month, Swift also secured a five-year contract to provide services to between 2,500 and 4,600 rooms in onshore and offshore locations through Australia’s north-west, as a result of its partnership with DXC Technology.

The agreement with Craigcare, therefore, widens Swift’s addressable audience and expands its growing list of clients within Australia.

The three-year agreement tasks Swift and Telstra to jointly install the Swift system at three Craigcare sites with a total of 315 rooms. After the initial rollout, Swift and Telstra will install their solution to all other Craigcare sites over the next two years.

With a broad footprint across seven residential aged care facilities and one retirement village, Craigcare owns, operates and provides aged and retirement living services to around 900 residents.

Craigcare residents will benefit from the Swift system including the ‘My Family’ and ‘My Community’ applications which enable residents and families to remain fully connected with their family, friends and the local community. The solution being deployed also includes a range of bespoke aged care content, Hollywood movies and pay TV.

“We are proud to be expanding our services in the growing aged care sector in partnership with such a large and well-regarded group as Craigcare. Swift is pleased to add Craigcare to its ever-expanding list of national aged care providers,” said Xavier Kris, chief executive officer of Swift.

“Swift’s growing presence in the aged care and lifestyle sectors is driving an increasingly diverse profile of contracted revenue growth for the Company and we are delighted our partnership with Telstra is helping to achieve this,” added Mr Kris.

Swift’s share price was up 1.33% to A$0.38 in late afternoon trade.
