Swift Networks (ASX: SW1) has signed a master services agreement with Opal HealthCare – Australia’s largest aged care provider – to roll out its new connected television platform, Swift TV.

The contract covers an initial 562 screens across four communities and represents one of the first major adoptions of Swift’s new product ahead of its commercial launch in early 2026.

Chief executive officer Brian Mangano said the deal marks a strategic breakthrough, embedding Swift’s technology directly into the daily lives of residents while anchoring growth in a key national sector.

Opal Partnership Anchors Launch

Opal operates 142 care communities housing more than 13,000 residents, making it an ideal proving ground for Swift TV.

The new agreement sets out a framework for expansion across that network, beginning with installations at Epping Grand and Croydon Grove.

Unlike traditional in-room systems that run separately from care software, Swift TV will integrate directly into Opal’s digital management systems.

This allows staff to push menus, activity schedules, and personalised information straight to residents’ televisions, reducing administrative workload while creating a more engaging daily experience for residents.

For Swift, the significance lies not only in the immediate order but in establishing a scalable template: once embedded in a large provider like Opal, the pathway to broader rollout across the portfolio becomes both clearer and more compelling.

Swift TV Positioned as Market-First Solution

Swift TV represents the culmination of years of in-house research and development, resulting in a Google-certified device with Netflix approval and access to the full Google app store.

By combining mainstream streaming services with purpose-built aged care functions, Swift has created a single platform that can deliver both entertainment and critical engagement tools.

The hardware is deliberately slimline, cutting installation time and cost while ensuring scalability across multiple facilities.

Feedback from aged care operators shaped the interface, with developers prioritising simplicity for residents and efficiency for staff, resulting in a product that addresses the twin pressures of resident satisfaction and provider productivity.

Shifting Regulatory Environment

The launch comes as the aged care industry faces a shifting regulatory environment, including the introduction of the Higher Everyday Living Fee.

Providers must now demonstrate broader lifestyle offerings to residents, a requirement that adds complexity to operations already under strain.

Swift TV directly addresses this challenge by allowing operators to present a wide range of entertainment and lifestyle options through a familiar medium—the television.

Instead of adding new layers of paperwork or systems, providers can meet compliance requirements within the same platform residents already use daily.

This dual benefit — enhancing resident experience while easing compliance — gives Swift TV an immediate relevance that clearly distinguishes it from competing products.

Strong FY25 Performance

Swift enters this partnership from a position of strength, after generating $17.7 million in revenue during FY25, with recurring subscriptions accounting for 80% of earnings.

The company’s Swift Access product is already available in more than 12,900 rooms across aged care and mining, providing a base of predictable income and customer relationships with retention above 90%.

Work is also underway on Swift Access 2026, the next iteration of its platform, which will reduce installation costs by more than half and open pathways into global markets.

Mr Mangano said the agreement underscores years of work to position Swift as the sector’s leading in-room engagement provider.

“Having Opal HealthCare come on board soon after releasing Swift TV for pre-orders, is a very exciting moment for our team who have worked tirelessly on creating a product that is set to not only transform the market for in-room entertainment and engagement experiences but also sets our company up for accelerated growth,” he said.

He emphasised that, with Opal on board, Swift is well placed to replicate the model across other aged care operators, using the momentum to expand into adjacent healthcare markets while consolidating its established presence in mining.
