SRJ Technologies’ (ASX: SRJ) UK-based subsidiary Air Control Entech (ACE) has landed a significant contract with an unnamed global energy supermajor.

ACE, which SRJ acquired in mid-2024 for $8.6 million, will provide advanced inspection and emissions monitoring campaigns in the North Sea for the international oil and gas firm.

The $1.45m contract involves fixed monthly invoicing for scheduled work and has the potential to generate additional revenue from ad hoc call-offs throughout the period.

‘Innovative technologies’

“ACE takes pride in delivering innovative technologies that set a new standard in the oil and gas industry,” ACE managing director Marc Whitton said.

“Amid challenging times for the UK sector, where operators are under increasing pressure to reduce costs across all aspects of their operations, ACE stands out as a provider of alternative solutions that are not only safer and of higher quality but also more cost effective.”

“The award of this contract solidifies ACE as a trusted partner for operators seeking to optimise efficiency without compromising on safety and performance.”

Successful demonstration

The contract win follows ACE’s successful demonstration for the client of its ‘ACE365’ model in 2023 and 2024.

Under that model, the company positions the inspection and monitoring equipment on the asset for the agreed contract period, then mobilises manpower to undertake the work scopes when required.

This significantly reduces operational expenditure while removing people from prolonged exposure to hazardous environments.

Upgraded status

ACE also completed emissions monitoring scope demonstrations in 2024 and was subsequently awarded ‘Super-User’ status by the client.

The client included emissions monitoring in its annual work scopes for FY25 as a result.

The integration of ACE has enhanced SRJ’s capabilities in remote inspection services, leveraging advanced drone, ROV and crawler technologies.

New CEO named

SRJ recently appointed the highly experienced Kurt Reeves to take over as its new chief executive officer and executive director from 15 May 2025.

Mr Reeves has over 22 years of experience in the energy and asset integrity sectors, including senior leadership positions at Petrofac and Probus Engineering and Construction.

He will be based in Abu Dhabi to leverage his local experience and drive SRJ’s expansion in the region.
