Spark Plus conference to showcase emerging ASX-listed companies during Singapore F1 week
Organisers are forecasting strong investor turnout at a unique event featuring ASX-listed companies in Singapore later this month.
Staged at the prestigious Marina Bay Sands hotel, the Spark Plus Australian Equities Day conference will showcase a number of interesting investment stories.
The event – which runs from 10am to 6pm on Friday, 20 September – coincides with the Singapore Grand Prix Formula One race week.
More than 150 participants are expected to attend presentations from 12 ASX-listed companies across various sectors.
Corporate engagement
The event will also feature corporate engagements, market insights, thematic investing discussions and networking opportunities with investors and industry professionals.
Expected participants include Activeport (ASX: ATV) chair Peter Christie, Iggy Tan from Altech Batteries (ASX: ATC), Arovella Therapeutics (ASX: ALA) chief executive officer Michael Baker, Jayne Shaw of BCAL Diagnostics (ASX; BDX), BlinkLab’s (ASX: BB1) Brian Leedman, EZZ Life Science (ASX: EZZ) chair Glenn Cross, Bruce Lane from GTI Energy (ASX: GTR), Lithium Universe’s (AZX: LU7) Gernot Abl, PharmAust (ASX: PAA) managing director Dr Michael Thurn and Gary Phillips from Syntara (ASX: SNT).

Session 1 will feature presentations on “Transforming Renewable Energy and the Gig Economy” and “Defining and Developing Economic ISR Uranium Resources in the United States.”
Session 2 includes discussions on “Delivering Software-Defined Networking (SDN) Solutions for the Global Telecommunications and IT Sectors,” global agricultural innovation offerings from an Australia-based company and Altech’s groundbreaking solid-state sodium chloride batteries.
Session 3 will showcase pioneering medical innovations in areas such as cell therapy, novel medicines for rare blood cancers and the repurposing of monepantel (MPL) for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
The event will conclude with a session on diagnostics, lifestyle and wellbeing including developments in novel blood screening tests, scientifically formulated health, skincare and wellness products, as well as smartphone-based diagnostics of autism using AI and machine learning.
The day will also feature a panel discussion on investing in Australian equities, including Lelde Smits from The Stock Network, Tony Davies from EFM Asset Management, Jonathan Chi from ICM Global Funds and Anadara Funds Management’s Shaun Cartwright.
Spark Plus Managing Director Omar Taheri told Small Caps, “it’s the largest event Spark has been hosting to date and will be taking clients to the Formula 1 and hosting a yacht for investors and funds to network.”
