Respiratory health technology company Respiri (ASX: RSH) has announced a new sales and marketing partnership with the Pharmacy 4 Less group for the sale of its asthma management device wheezo commencing early next year.

This is the second partnership secured with a pharmacy banner group this month, following a supply deal with Pharmacy Platform announced last week. At the time, Respiri had revealed that discussions with other key pharmacy banner groups were “advanced”.

Banner groups are groups of pharmacies similar to franchise groups, where they operate under a larger brand name and usually benefit from joint marketing and promotion.

Pharmacy 4 Less is a network of more than 100 independently-owned stores across Australia and claims it is “Australia’s fastest growing discount pharmacy chain”. It uses the tagline “More Care 4 Less Cost”, offering an extensive range of products, professional expertise and personal service, as well as both domestic and international shipping of online purchases.

Respiri chief executive officer and managing director Marjan Mikel said the company is “thrilled” to have this latest banner group selling wheezo devices.

“The group’s commitment to professional services and their community and patient focus are strongly aligned with Respiri’s values,” he said.

In today’s announcement, Respiri said it will support the pharmacy group with a commitment to build a relevant training program focused on asthma management using wheezo.

Morning TV feature

Respiri’s partnership deal will include a wheezo feature with Pharmacy 4 Less chief executive officer Feras Karem on Channel 10’s Studio 10 Australian morning television show.

This TV promotion adds to existing activities with the Carlton Football Club’s AFLW team and former Australian Cricket captain Michael Clarke, who signed up as wheezo’s first ambassador in February 2019.

Mr Karem said Pharmacy 4 Less is “passionate in improving asthma management”.

“Patient understanding is a critical step to limiting the avoidable complications of asthma, and wheezo can assist patients to better manage their asthma,” he said.

“We look forward to strong partnership with Feras and the broader Pharmacy 4 Less group as we make wheezo available to asthma patients and their caregivers,” Mr Mikel added.
