Resolution Minerals Launches Major Sampling Program at Horse Heaven Project
Resolution Minerals (ASX: RML) continues to accelerate exploration activities at its high-profile Horse Heaven critical and precious metals project in Idaho.
Fresh from announcing strong support for its $25.1 million capital raise late last week, Resolution has begun a significant stream sediment sampling program at the flagship project to test for antimony, gold, silver, and tungsten.
The company will collect around 100 samples across approximately 44 kilometres of stream length over 59 sq km.
Multiple Catchment Sampling
Sampling will investigate multiple catchments draining prospective structures outside of the known and well-understood mineralised areas of Golden Gate and Antimony Ridge, with a particular focus on streams flowing off the doming created by the interpreted buried intrusion between Horse Heaven and Perpetua Resources’ adjacent Stibnite gold project.
While it is yet to see systematic and modern exploration, Resolution’s geology team remains confident the area is highly-prospective for mineralisation.
“In parallel to our ongoing drilling program at Golden Gate and the soils and rock chip sampling at Golden Gate, Vibika Creek and Antimony Ridge, Resolution is taking an aggressive approach to identifying drill targets across Horse Heaven through this comprehensive stream sediment sampling program,” US operations chief Craig Lindsay said.
“A similar program has been used successfully at the Stibnite project, and we expect this work will lead to an even larger portfolio of high-value exploration targets.”
District-Scale Play
Resolution has attracted significant attention for the quality of Horse Heaven and its highly active exploration work since its acquisition of the project in late July.
Mr Lindsay said Horse Heaven has the scale to be a district play and is one of the most target-rich projects he has ever seen.
The US remains entirely import reliant on antimony, highlighting the potential strategic importance of advancing Horse Heaven from exploration through to development and production.
