Resolution Minerals Expands Phase 1 Drilling Program at Horse Heaven Project

Resolution Minerals (ASX: RML) has ramped up its exploration programs at the Horse Heaven project in Idaho, significantly expanding a Phase 1 drilling program there.
Buoyed by initial drilling results at the Golden Gate target, Resolution will extend its drill season at the antimony-tungsten-silver project through to the end of October—or even potentially beyond that, subject to weather and drilling conditions.
The company will look to double its current core-only Phase 1 program at Golden Gate to between 18 and 20 core and reverse circulation (RC) holes over approximately 5,490 metres.
Drill Contractor Engaged
Resolution has already signed an experienced local contractor and secured an MP1500 RC rig to help it to undertake additional infill and step-out RC drilling.
“We are deeply appreciative of the willingness of the US Forest Service to work with us to help extend our drill program, which will allow us to double our expected footage [and] generate a significantly higher level of drill data to guide next season’s program, future resource estimates, and permitting for an expanded exploration program,” US chief executive officer Craig Lindsay said, calling the program expansion a “significant development”.
Resolution has also expanded its land holdings at Horse Heaven with an application for 30 new lode claims, which would increase the project area to 59 square kilometres across 729 claims.
The company is aiming to begin early-stage field programs at the new tenements by the end of the year.
Critical Minerals Neighbourhood
Resolution is accelerating its understanding of Horse Heaven, which sits in a high-profile critical minerals neighbourhood directly adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ large Stibnite gold project and is attracting significant interest due to its potential involvement in the US critical minerals supply chain.
The company is looking to define a JORC-compliant exploration target, with promising new results from its recent soil sampling program at Antimony Ridge set to assist in that aim.
Highlight rock-chip returns including 49.8% antimony, 1,420 grams per tonne silver and 3.12g/t gold (the highest grades it has so far recorded at Horse Heaven), along with soil results such as 0.5% antimony, 68g/t silver, and 0.9g/t gold support historical sampling at the target area.
Historical drilling at Antimony Ridge intersected significant gold mineralisation including 2.11g/t over 9.14m and 1.15g/t over 9.14m.
However, these drill-holes were not assayed for antimony and only partially assayed for silver.
Stream Sediment Sampling
Resolution revealed earlier this week that it had commenced a large stream sediment sampling program to test for antimony, gold, silver, and tungsten at Horse Heaven.
The company will look to collect approximately 100 samples in a program covering approximately 44 kilometres of stream length to investigate multiple catchments outside of the known mineralised areas at Golden Gate and Antimony Ridge.
Resolution raised $25.1 million earlier this month to help fund its exploration plans at Horse Heaven.
