Red Mountain Mining’s (ASX: RMX) new partnership with Fladgate Exploration Consulting is off a strong start, with high-grade gold assay results from an initial exploration program at its Flicka Lake claim in Canada.

The program completed a total of 17 channel samples ranging from 1 metre to 6m in length across the Flicka Zone, with 14 of these located within 30m of the previously identified Vein #1, Vein #2 and Vein #3 targets.

Flicka Lake, part of the company’s 100%-owned Fry Lake gold-copper project in Ontario, is one of four recently acquired 100%-owned properties within the relatively underexplored southwest portion of the Archaean Meen-Dempster Greenstone Belt.

Highlight Gold Hits

Red Mountain’s share price jumped 25% early in Monday trading on the ASX after the announcement, which included a highlight hit of 25.1 grams per tonne gold, along with results of 17.7 grams per tonne, 13.6g/t, and 13.2g/t from channel sampling assays.

Managing director Lincoln Liu said the results confirmed those from the company’s 2024 grab sampling program and demonstrated the high tenor of gold mineralisation associated with the three main vein prospects at Flicka Lake.

“These shallow, high-grade channel sampling results at Fry Lake Project underscores the significant potential of the tenement,” he said.

Local Mining Experience

Red Mountain established the partnership agreement with Fladgate in late July 2025 to help conduct its exploration program at Flicka Lake.

Fladgate, which has more than two decades of experience operating in northwestern Ontario and has been instrumental in uncovering and advancing several of the region’s most promising gold systems, is taking RMX shares as consideration in lieu of its normal contract rate.

“The Fry Lake gold project tenure and the Flicka Lake claim lie within a structurally rich and underexplored corridor adjacent to the renowned Pickle Lake district, and we believe they hold substantial potential,” Fladgate vice president Caitlin Jeffs said.

Red Mountain is awaiting further assay results from additional, close-interval soil and rock-chip sampling across four priority areas that were following up anomalous soil gold and copper results from the 2024 program.
