Perenti expands West African footprint with new five-year Endeavour contract in Burkina Faso

Mining services provider Perenti (ASX: PRN) has landed another significant contract, with Endeavour Mining selecting its Burkina Faso subsidiary to provide approximately $1.1 billion worth of work at its Mana complex.
Endeavour subsidiary SEMAFO Burkina Faso awarded the new five-year contract for delivery of underground mining operations to Underground Mining Services Burkina Faso (UMS).
The company established the UMS joint venture (JV) with local firm Dynamic Mining Supply.
Contract expansion
Mana is a high-grade gold mine complex containing the Siou and Wona underground operations located in the country’s highly prospective Houndé Greenstone Belt.
Work covered under the contract includes underground development, production and related mining services.
“This contract is consistent with our guidance for FY25 and will contribute strongly in FY26 and beyond,” Perenti chief executive officer Mark Norwell said.
“Our team continually delivers exceptional value for our clients and this is clearly demonstrated by this long-term contract for expanded operations at the Mana complex.”
Strong relationship
Perenti president of contract mining Gabrielle Iwanow said the expanded scope of the contract is a reflection of the company’s close relationship with Endeavour.
“We are proud to be working alongside our local JV partner Dynamic Mining Supply to take further steps to support development of local procurement, capability and employment in Burkina Faso,” she said.
“The success of these partnerships is built on trust, reliability and the outstanding capabilities of our team.”
AngloGold Ashanti work
Perenti recently won another significant West African contract, signing a new five-year deal for delivery of underground mining services at the Obuasi gold mine for AngloGold Ashanti in Ghana.
Subsidiary African Underground Mining Services secured the deal via the Underground Mining Alliance JV.
Valued at approximately $1.02b, the contract covers underground development, production and related mining services.
Agnew gold contract
Perenti’s underground mining subsidiary Barminco signed a new contract in early May to continue underground mining operations at the Gold Fields-operated Agnew gold mine in Western Australia.
Barminco has been successfully providing underground mining services at Agnew since 2010 and employs over 300 people across the site.
Perenti expects approximately $500 million in total revenue from the contract, which runs for three years with an option for a fourth.
