Navarre Minerals (ASX: NML) has confirmed multiple gold structures at its Tandarra project in Victoria, with diamond drilling unearthing up to 82.3 grams per tonne gold.

The company and its joint venture partner Catalyst Metals (ASX: CYL) have received assays from four diamond drill holes that confirm extensions to the Tomorrow prospect.

Drilling at Tomorrow returned four intervals with assays ranging from 2.4-3.5g/t gold, with a highlight intercept of 1m at 82.3g/t gold from 261m.

Catalyst technical director Bruce Kay said the diamond drilling had outlined the continuity of the mineralised structures at Tomorrow.

He added this “indicates considerable potential” for further extensions and repetitions of the Tomorrow mineralisation along strike and at depth.

Meanwhile, aircore drilling at the Macnaughtan target has confirmed 1.4km of strike along the southern end of the target.

Notable results were 13m at 7.8g/t gold, including 2m at 44.8g/t gold from 78m; and 2m at 2.1g/t gold from 106m.

Over at the Lawry zone, aircore drilling was also completed and returned 31m at 1.4g/t gold from 56m, including 1m at 10.5g/t gold; and 2m at 1.8g/t gold from 91m.

“The continuity of gold mineralisation newly indicated by reconnaissance spaced aircore drill programs along the southern Macnaughtan line and in the Lawry zone provide exciting prospects of potential mineralisation awaiting follow up drilling,” Mr Kay said.

Next steps at Tandarra

According to Navarre, planning is underway to begin drilling at Tandarra before the end of the year. The diamond core data will be used to assist with planning the program.

At Macnaughtan and Lawry, aircore and reverse circulation programs will be carried out to confirm, infill and extend the mineralised zones.

Catalyst manages the joint venture with a 51% stake in Tandarra, while Navarre retains 49% ownership.

Tandarra is only 40km north of Victoria’s 22Moz historic Bendigo goldfield. It is also 50km from Kirkland Lake Gold’s (ASX: KLA) Fosterville mine.
