MTM Critical Metals Appoints Defence Industry Specialist Gregory Bowman to US Advisory Board

MTM Critical Metals (ASX: MTM) has brought in well-credentialled US defense industry specialist Gregory Bowman to join its advisory board.
Mr Bowman, a chief strategy officer and senior vice president of national security solutions at Siemens Government Technologies, will bring onboard significant expertise as MTM looks to expand its global position in the processing of critical and precious metals.
Soon to be renamed Metallium, MTM’s patented Flash Joule Heating (FJH) technology enables the extraction of high-value materials such as gallium, germanium, antimony, rare earth elements, and gold from feedstocks such as refinery scrap and e-waste.
High-Profile Target
The US defence market is a high-profile target for the FJH technology and its capacity to enable the recovery of rare earths from secondary sources within US borders.
Mr Bowman, a recognised expert in defence, public-private partnerships, and critical mineral supply chains, will join the advisory board of MTM’s 100%-owned US subsidiary Flash Metals USA.
Prior to joining Siemens, Mr Bowman served for more than 25 years in the US Army, retiring with the rank of Colonel, and his final military assignment was as strategic military law and policy advisor and legislative counsel to the Secretary of the Army.
Diverse Skillset
MTM chief executive officer Michael Walshe said the appointment would strengthen Flash Metals USA’s path to becoming a leading US domestic processor of critical and strategic metals and reinforces its alignment with that country’s national interests.
“Greg brings an unparalleled combination of strategic vision, national security expertise, and deep understanding of how public-private partnerships can accelerate advanced manufacturing and critical minerals processing in the US,” Mr Walshe said.
“Flash Metals USA is scaling a modular, onshore technology platform to help secure the supply of rare earths and strategic metals for US industry and defence, and Greg’s guidance will be instrumental in shaping our engagement with US stakeholders, programmatic funding channels, and federal industrial policy.”
“The US has a critical need to re-establish resilient, secure, and domestic supply chains for rare earths and other strategic materials. Flash Metals USA’s technology offers an innovative and scalable solution aligned with these national priorities,” Mr Bowman added.
