New assays from drilling at Minerals 260’s (ASX: MI6) Bullabulling gold project in Western Australia have continued to support an expansion of the current 2.3 million ounce resource.

The company received results from 112 infill and extensional holes for a total 23,424 metres at deposits including Bacchus (which has a current resource of 22 million tonnes grading 1.3 grams per tonne gold for 890,000 ounces), Phoenix (27Mt at 1.1g/t gold for 930,000oz), Dicksons (7.7Mt at 0.9g/t gold for 220,000oz), and Kraken (2.8Mt at 1.7g/t gold for 160,000oz).

MI6 has so far drilled 334 holes for 71,068m, all within the existing resource pit shell, and expects them to optimise the project’s grade during the first years of operation.

Best Deposit Assays

Best assays at Bacchus were 10.2m at 18.5g/t gold from 236.2m, including 2.8m at 63.7g/t from 241.8m and 0.2m at 629g/t from 244.1m (visible gold); and 15m at 4.5g/t gold from 127.8m, including 3.9m at 14.5g/t from 135m.

Highlights from Phoenix were 22m at 1.5g/t gold from 74m; and 12.7m at 7.4g/t gold from 71.3m and 10m at 4.3g/t gold from 174m, including 1m at 74.6g/t from 73m; and 4m at 2.2g/t gold from 209m.

Other results included 14.9m at 1.8g/t gold from 59m, and 7.4m at 2.7g/t gold from 21.7m at Dicksons; and 13m at 2.1g/t gold from 48m, 8m at 3g/t gold from 150m, and 10m at 1.5g/t gold from 140m at Kraken.

Expanded Campaign

Minerals 260 has extended the Bullabulling campaign from its original 80,000m to a total 110,000m with a view to targeting more high-grade intercepts beneath or along strike from the current resource estimate.

Deeper extensional drilling should also confirm the continuity of mineralisation at depth along an 8.5 kilometre strike extent.

The company has also planned deeper infill drilling beneath the Bacchus pits to reinforce the robust nature of the resource and support a Bullabulling pre-feasibility study.

Resource Potential

Managing director Luke McFadyen believed there was strong potential for an expansion of all deposits.

“We have recorded some excellent results from Bullabulling, which include some of the highest gram-by-metre intercepts in the history of the project,” he said.

“The multiple intersections of very high-grade mineralisation, including visible gold on several occasions, are exciting and we will target extensions in our expanded drilling program.”

Minerals 260 will use data from the campaign to update the Bullabulling resource estimate, which it will complete between now and December and again in 2026, and establish a maiden ore reserve over the same period.
