Lode Resources (ASX: LDR) continues to uncover some of the world’s most sought after minerals in its ongoing drilling program at the Montezuma antimony and silver project in Tasmania.

The company has added positive gold assay results to the antimony and silver hits it recently reported at Montezuma.

Highlight intersects include 1,825 grams per tonne silver equivalent plus 1.31g/t gold over 1.6 metres, 1,301g/t silver equivalent plus 0.4g/t gold over 1.0m and 593g/t silver equivalent plus 1.12g/t gold over 0.9m.

Highly Valuable Trio

Gold, antimony and silver prices are surging at the moment thanks to global financial concerns regarding critical mineral shortages and tariff exchange issues.

Managing director Ted Leschke said the new gold assays were a strong follow-up to the batch of high-grade antimony and silver drill intercepts the company had encountered throughout the first half of 2025.

“These gold assays substantially enhance the already high metal values in Montezuma’s mineralisation,” Mr Leschke said.

Tasmanian Alignment

Lode sees its exploration and project generation being in alignment with the Tasmanian government’s critical minerals strategy.

“In a relatively short period of time Lode has demonstrated a strong ability to generate projects that will enhance Tasmania’s critical resource credentials,” Mr Leschke added.

“Plans are underway to augment the Montezuma antimony and silver project through the exploration of other areas that are prospective for critical minerals.”

More Results Coming

Lode has now received gold assays from the first nine of the 50-to-60-hole drilling program covering 8,000m to 10,000m currently in progress at Montezuma.

Drilling is ongoing with the antimony and silver lode remaining open both along strike and at depth and Lode is expecting further assay results shortly.

The gold recovery occurred as part of comprehensive flotation tests on the antimony and silver mineralisation ALS Metallurgy is conducting in Burnie.

Lode is planning to undertake trial pilot-scale beneficiation treatment of Montezuma mineralisation once it has finalised metallurgical parameters, flowsheet configuration and permitting.
