Live Verdure’s (ASX: LV1) United States expansion plans have picked-up speed with the company’s hemp-based 13 Seeds products now available on Walmart.com.

The news follows a deal with TruLife Distribution last month where TruLife has agreed to sell the 13 Seeds range throughout e-commerce and bricks and mortar retailers in the country.

Walmart has now given approval for Live Verdure’s products to be sold online through its e-commerce platform, which receives about 100 million visitors a month.

Ranking number one in the Fortune Global 500 in 2021, Walmart is the world’s largest company by revenue.

Walmart.com recorded sales of more than US$43 billion (A$58 billion) in 2021, which was 70% higher than 2020 levels.

United States market penetration

Live Verdure’s initial 13 Seeds products to be sold on the e-commerce platform will be TheraJoint+ and TheraNight+.

The listing on Walmart.com follows the 13 Seeds product launch on Amazon in the US in May last year.

At this stage, Live Verdure says it does not know what revenue sales will be generated through Walmart.com.

The company will provide revenue updates from sales through this platform in upcoming quarterly reports.

“The availability of 13 Seeds products in the US market via the two largest e-commerce marketplaces, and into bricks and mortar stores through out distribution partner TruLife, not only delivers incremental revenue, but also builds brand awareness,” Live Verdure managing director Ran Vaingold said.

Live Verdure plans to launch new products throughout 2022, with current approvals expected to accelerate the Walmart process for future products.

8 Seeds skincare range

In addition to its 13 Seeds brand, Live Verdure is developing hemp-based skincare products under the new 8 Seeds brand.

The company plans to launch four initial products from this range in the September quarter.

These initial products include a daily hydrating facial moisturiser with SPF, facial serum, cleansing oil and body repair crème.

A further nine products are under development that will be rolled-out in the latter half of the year.
