Investigator Resources’ (ASX: IVR) Paris silver project has continued to come up trumps with more high-grade silver results.

Latest assays are from infill drilling in the southern region of the Paris resource and support continuation of silver grade and mineralisation.

On either side of the line one indicated resource zone high-grade silver was hit.

At line 1.25, drilling intercepted 16m at 236 grams per tonne silver from 52m, including 9m at 273g/t; and 19m at 185g/t silver from 43m, including 1m at 1,360g/t.

On the other side of line one (line 0.75 and line 0.5) highlight intercepts were 22m at 120g/t silver, including 2m at 445g/t; and 16m at 261g/t silver from 94m, including 14m at 294g/t.

Investigator managing director Andrew McIlwain said the latest assays continue to support the improved continuity of grade and confidence in mineralisation at Paris.

“We have seen this in the previously reported results in the northern region of the project and this is now being seen in the southern region, which previously had received a lower density of drilling.”

“In particular, there are some high-grade zones present with substantial widths and down hole continuity.”

“Coupled with closer spaced drilling undertaken in the infill program, this will add support to an increased confidence in the upcoming resource estimate,” Mr McIlwain added.

Updated resource due in May

Investigator has now received assays from 20% of the 22,000 samples submitted from a 20,500m infill drilling program that was completed last year.

Mr McIlwain noted the company was now receiving assays from the laboratory on a regular basis and the company was particularly looking forward to compiling the results from drilling beyond line zero and line 10.

He said these results had the potential to extend the indicated resource estimate outside of its current footprint.

According to Investigator, Paris is currently Australia’s highest-grade undeveloped primary silver deposit.

Its resource sits at 9.3Mt at 139g/t silver and 0.6% lead for 42Moz silver and 55,000t lead.
