Paris has a resource of 18.8Mt at 88g/t silver and 0.52% lead for 53.1Moz silver and 97,600t of lead.

Copied

During the June quarter, Investigator Resources (ASX: IVR) focused on activities in and around its flagship Paris silver project along South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula.

Its achievements for the period include the highest-grade silver intersection ever reported outside the project’s resource footprint, recorded from the neighbouring Apollo prospect.

Drilling at Apollo returned a highlight of 7m at 700 grams per tonne silver, including 4m at 1,170g/t silver from 150m.

The presence of low-level gold (3m at 0.13g/t from 150m) within the same interval proved that mineralising fluids at the prospect are of similar origin to those at Paris, which also exhibits a similar low level gold association.

According to Investigator, low-level gold is not a common feature in the areas drilled proximal to the Paris deposit.

Definitive feasibility study

Investigator continued to advance the Paris definitive feasibility study during the quarter, with work including geotechnical drilling at the open pit, final design and planning of water sources (in addition to the regional Hector paleochannel), metallurgical testing, and regulatory and native title approvals.

A program of 14 diamond drill holes was completed across the conceptual open pit boundaries to improve confidence in geotechnical assumptions and parameters used in design work.

Assay sampling was done in areas where mineralisation was intersected in an effort to maximise additional information for future resource estimate updates and metallurgical work.

The company is now awaiting a mining lease which will follow the submission of a program for environmental protection and rehabilitation to the state’s regulator.

Investigator is also working on a native title mining agreement with the area’s traditional owners.

Uno Morgans project

In early July, Investigator revealed assays from a drilling program that was completed in February this year across its Uno Morgans project.

The work was designed to follow-up outcomes generated from earlier exploration that the company had put on hold due to the focus on its flagship asset 80km away.

It was the first drilling program undertaken in the area since 2014 and 24 of the 27 holes were reported to have hit mineralisation.

Highlights were a significant high-grade silver intersection at the Twelve Mile prospect of 12m at 240g/t from 78m, including 6m at 383g/t from 81m.

Extensive zinc intersections from near surface were uncovered at Uno North with 123m at 0.48% zinc from 15m, including 24m at 1.52% zinc from 102m, and 63m at 0.60% zinc from surface including 9m at 1.07% zinc from 18m.

Other intersections including silver, zinc, lead, gold and copper were reported at the Higher Ground, Babylon and Hurricane South prospects.

Planning for follow up soil sampling, mapping and drilling is now underway.

New tenements

Investigator has applied for two new tenements in the Stuart Shelf area.

They are located adjacent to the Uneroo tenement and cover a combined area of 1,539 square kilometres.

The company said the tenements were sought for their copper, gold and base metals potential.
