International Graphite Putting its ‘Mine-to-Market’ Strategy on Display in the US

International Graphite (ASX: IG6) is taking its staged “mine-to-market” expertise to the USA as it continues to investigate global critical minerals project opportunities.
As part of delegation by Australia Trade and Invest, International Graphite will be on show in Washington DC from September 15, 2025.
The delegation will include meetings with important US government agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD). Department of Commerce and the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
DoD Feasibility Funding
International Graphite has already received positive feedback from the DoD on a submission for feasibility funding under the US government’s defense industrial base consortium program and was formally advised earlier this year that its proposal meets the criteria for “Award/Basket Consideration”.
The US is becoming an increasingly important market as part of the global critical minerals supply chain and the Washington opportunity adds to the company’s efforts to establish a leading position in providing raw graphite material supply through to battery anode materials including micronised, purified and expandable intermediate products.
The country currently imports a major portion of its graphite needs, with the critical mineral an important component for maintaining and building its defence industrial base and economic and national security.
International Graphite will later hold meetings with US investors in New York.
Local and Global Recognition
The company has also gained Australian and foreign government recognition for its growing network of integrated downstream processing operations, including its proposed commercial micronising facilities at Collie in Western Australia and at Bitterfeld in Germany.
IG6 is also investigating the opportunity to develop industrial and anode facilities in Savannah, Georgia on a similar scale, scope and metrics of those it previously scoped for the Collie battery anode materials operation.
The company is aiming to have both graphite facilities – which, combined, would be capable of producing approximately 10,000 tonnes of high value graphite products and generate as much as US$30 million in annual revenue – operating by 2027.
