Elsight secures $7.9m Halo connectivity platform contract extension with European drone maker

Elsight (ASX: ELS) has signed an additional $7.9 million contract with an undisclosed European defence drone manufacturer for the supply of its Halo connectivity platform for unmanned aerial vehicles.
The contract is an extension to the $15m worth of work Elsight received from the same customer in April and May and reflects the manufacturer’s success in winning drone supply agreements for new downstream clients.
The $22.8m in contracts Elsight has so far received from this client in 2025 represents a 600% increase on the company’s 2024 full-year revenue.
Extension terms
Under the terms of the extension, the customer will make an upfront payment to support Elsight’s working capital and procurement needs.
It will then pay the balance when Elsight delivers the Halo platform.
Elsight said its production capacity and supply chain readiness remain sufficient to enable fast turnaround and delivery on large-volume orders.
Cheaper, faster solution
Unmanned drones are becoming increasingly central to modern warfare as they are a cheaper and faster solution than manned vehicles and can overcome the physical limitations of human operators in the cockpit with regard to factors such as the effects of G-forces.
Elsight’s Halo platform is an integral part of the unmanned systems solution as it utilises all available spectrum technology – including cellular, radio frequency and satellite connections – to enable the “always-on” communications essential for beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) missions in complex environments.
Leading defence drone manufacturers have validated the technology in mission-critical deployments where reliability, redundancy and uptime are non-negotiable.
Connectivity backbone
Elsight chief executive officer Yoav Amitai said the contract extension confirmed Halo’s position as the connectivity backbone of choice in today’s defence deployments.
“This new order is a strong signal of market validation from our direct customer and from the multiple defence end-users now relying on Halo across operational theatres,” he said.
“Halo’s battlefield-proof growth reflects the deep confidence our partners place in Elsight’s ability to deliver resilient and ‘always-on’ connectivity for the most demanding unmanned applications in contested environments.”
He said the European drone customer was evaluating the purchase of additional Elsight products beyond the core Halo offering.
