Elevate managing director Murray Hill says latest drill results confirm mineralisation is connected between Koppies 1, 2, 3 and 4 targets.

Drilling by Elevate Uranium (ASX: EL8) has confirmed an extension of mineralisation across a broad area between the Koppies 2 and Koppies 3 resources in Namibia.

The company said it had identified large areas of continuous mineralisation south of Koppies 2, with the potential to extend southeast and east.

Drilling north of Koppies 2 confirmed a continuous connection between Koppies 2 and 3 through to the southern boundary of the Koppies tenement, connecting with Koppies 4.

Some previously-drilled holes within the resource shells at Koppies 1 and Koppies 2 were twinned and drilled deeper than the original resource holes.

The twinned holes intersected mineralisation beneath the base of the original holes, indicating potential for additional mineralisation from future drilling programs which will have holes up to 25 metres depth.

Notable intersections from the drilling campaign included 5.5m at 1,121 parts per million uranium equivalent from 9.5m; 2m at 390ppm uranium equivalent from 13m; 4m at 336ppm uranium equivalent from 5.5m; 3m at 331ppm uranium equivalent from 21m; 6m at 265ppm uranium equivalent from 12m; and 8.5m at 252ppm uranium equivalent from surface.

Connection between prospects

Managing director Murray Hill said the drill results confirmed the connection between the four prospects.

“It also confirms our proposition that there are additional areas likely to contain mineralisation within the resource shell boundaries, indicating potential for the resource at Koppies 2 to grow to the east,” he said.

“With most of the Koppies tenement now indicating broadly-spaced mineralisation, we have numerous areas for additional drilling programs we have decided to focus our attention on Koppies 3, with one drill rig moving north from Koppies 2 to confirm the outline of the mineralised envelope.”

He said a second drill rig would follow, drilling in a 100m by 100m hole pattern, to enable the estimation of a JORC resource.

Additional mineralisation

Elevate has previously indicated potential for additional mineralisation around and below the palaeochannels of the Koppies 1 and Koppies 2 resources.

A number of holes were drilled in the current program adjacent to earlier holes to test for mineralisation beneath the base of the holes.

Known as twin holes, they intersected mineralisation at Koppies 1 and Koppies 2 beneath the base of the original holes, highlighting potential for an increase to the resource as further drilling is completed within the tenement boundaries.
