Assays have now confirmed the Malvina discovery for E2 Metals (ASX: E2M) at its Conserrat gold and silver project in Argentina’s Santa Cruz province.

Additionally, scout drilling at the Malvina Sur target 500m south of Malvina on a separate structure has also uncovered gold and silver mineralisation.

Highlight assays from Malvina were 8m at 0.9 grams per tonne gold and 186g/t silver (3.6g/t gold equivalent) from 125m, including 2.5m at 0.8g/t gold and 574g/t silver (9g/t gold equivalent) from 125m; and 2m at 4g/t gold and 754g/t silver (14.8g/t gold equivalent) from 100.8m, including 1m at 7.8g/t gold and 1,417g/t silver (28g/t gold equivalent) from 100.8m.

Over at Malvina Sur, drilling unearthed 5.75m at 1g/t gold and 18g/t silver (1.3g/t gold equivalent) from 61.3m.

E2 Metals managing director Todd Williams said the company’s scout drilling program at Conserrat had continued to deliver discoveries shown with the latest high-grade mineralisation hit at Malvina.

“These discoveries in addition to encouraging drill hits at Florencia Norte, Silvia and Malvina Sur confirm what we already suspected – that there is a lot more gold and silver mineralisation to discover at Conserrat,” he added.

Advancing Conserrat gold and silver project

In addition to the gold hits at Malvina and Malvina Sur, E2 Metals has also received assays from follow up drilling at the Emilia target.

Assays have revealed more high-grade mineralisation at the target with better results of 29m at 1.6g/t gold and 15g/t silver (1.8g/t gold equivalent) from 41m, including 1m at 39g/t gold and 54g/t silver (40g/t gold equivalent) from 42m; and 4m at 0.5g/t gold and 351g/t silver (5.5g/t gold equivalent) from 75.5m, including 1m at 0.5g/t gold and 1,296g/t silver (19g/t gold equivalent) from 78.5m.

With the ongoing discoveries at Conserrat, E2 Metals has mobilised a second reverse circulation drill rig to the project to accelerate exploration across the prospects.

Conserrat is only 25km from AngloGold Ashanti’s (ASX: AGG) Cerro Vanguardia mine which hosts historical and current reserves of 8.9Moz gold and 137Moz silver.
