Infrastructure solutions provider DXN (ASX: DXN) has won a $4.6 million contract with US telecommunications company Globalstar for delivery of three prefabricated modular data centres to a site in Hawaii.

DXN secured the new contract by demonstrating superior customisation capabilities and through its track record of delivering high-quality modular infrastructure across government, defence, telco and satellite industries.

It supports the company’s expansion into the global satellite communications sector and reinforces its position as a leading provider of mission-critical modular infrastructure for high-demand and remote environments.

High-growth sectors

Managing director Shalini Lagrutta said the Globalstar contract reflected DXN’s technical strength and underpinned its momentum in new high-growth sectors.

“This contract […] affirms our unique value in delivering mission-critical infrastructure and we are excited about the positive impact it will have on our business,” she said.

“We remain focused on executing our scale-up strategy and strengthening our global delivery capabilities and look forward to carrying out this project with the same dedication and precision that defines our brand.”

DXN expects it will deliver the factory-built and fully integrated modules to Globalstar’s Maui site by year end.

SDC acquisition

DXN has finalised debt funding to complete its $2.1m acquisition of Secure Data Centre (SDC) in the Northern Territory.

The company will use its $5m loan facility with iPartners to cover the repayment of $2 million in outstanding debt with PURE Asset Management, along with the associated transaction costs.

DXN will also settle a $550,000 warranty payment owed to the vendor of SDC from an original purchase agreement in 2021.

Darwin CBD facility

Located in Darwin’s central business district, SDC is the Territory’s only commercially available stand-alone data warehouse.

The facility boasts state-of-the-art physical and virtual infrastructure.

The property has been independently valued at $10m and DXN expects the acquisition will result in an immediate uplift to its net assets.
