DXN wins $2m contract with DP World Australia for delivery of high-performance modular data centres

Infrastructure solutions provider DXN (ASX: DXN) has received a $2 million contract from DP World Australia for the delivery of high-performance modular data centres to a site in New South Wales.
Under the terms of the deal, DXN will design and manufacture two fully integrated data centres and fit-outs and supply them to DP World’s operations at Port Botany before the end of September.
The project marks DXN’s first engagement with DP World’s global trade and logistics business and underscores its continued expansion into high-availability infrastructure for the ports, logistics and transport sectors.
Growing demand
DXN managing director Shalini Lagrutta said the contract reflected growing market demand for resilient, edge-ready deployments.
“This project demonstrates our capability to support customers in high-demand and operationally sensitive environments with reliable and scalable modular data centre solutions,” she said.
“It also highlights the wide variety of industries, such as transportation, that have a growing need for the sort of high-quality, on-site technical infrastructure that our custom-designed pre-fabricated offering can deliver.”
Satellite agreement
DXN entered into its first “data centre as a service” agreement last month, with a US-based global provider of satellite earth stations for the supply and maintenance of pre-fabricated technical infrastructure at a Northern Territory site.
The five-year agreement requires DXN to design, acquire, deploy, manage and maintain the site, which will house the technical infrastructure and space for satellites.
The total contract value of $3.6m includes an upfront payment of $600,000 and recurring monthly revenue for maintenance and management services.
Increased scope potential
Design work has commenced under the initial purchase order and the customer has indicated potential for DXN to secure multiple additional sites across regional Australia.
“AI has accelerated growth in the space and satellite industry by […] making space technology more efficient, cost-effective and scalable,” Ms Lagrutta said.
“This contract exemplifies how we can add value to our global customer base in Australia by building and handing over these infrastructure projects and maintaining and managing them on an ongoing basis.”
