Crowd Media Holdings (ASX: CM8) has moved into the hand sanitiser space after inking an agreement to sell KINN Living’s eco-friendly sanitisers and laundry care essentials into the European market.

According to Crowd, the agreement leverages its core strengths in digital social media, influencer marketing and conversational commerce.

Crowd will draw on these skills and use its exclusive digital distributor status to drive online sales of KINN’s products throughout Europe – excluding the UK.

“We are excited to have executed a deal with KINN,” Crowd chief executive officer Domenic Carosa said.

“According to a market report from Research and Markets, the global household green cleaning products market is expected to grow to US$27.83 billion by the end of 2024.”

“This space has recorded rapid growth in the last year, and, more recently, accelerated by COVID-19.”

Mr Carosa added he believed the need for surface, laundry and hand-hygiene will endure long after the COVID-19 pandemic subsides.

“We will be leveraging our existing influencer network and the ubiquitous Amazon e-commerce marketplace to grow our KINN business in Europe.”

Exclusive distribution agreement

Crowd noted the agreement terms would remain confidential. However, it said its distribution margin would range between 60-75% – in line with standard distribution and reseller agreements.

Under the deal, Crowd has the exclusive right to market, promote, advertise, distribute and sell KINN through the EU KINN website, which will launch later this month.

Crowd will also distribute and sell KINN products into the EU via Amazon and will set up a shop within the Amazon e-commerce marketplace channel.

Over the last six weeks, Crowd and KINN have been working to fast-track the development and manufacture of a World Health Organisation formulated sanitiser and handwash.

The companies will also work together to further develop KINN’s portfolio.

At this stage, Crowd plans to launch the KINN products into Europe within the next month.
