Battery Age Minerals Prepares for Maiden Drilling at El Aguila Gold-Silver Project in Argentina

Battery Age Minerals (ASX: BM8) is finalising an integrated 3D geological model and drill design in the lead-up to undertaking a maiden drill program at its El Aguila gold-silver project in Argentina.
After positive results from a recently completed soil sampling program, along with a review of induced polarisation (IP) and magnetic targeting, the company intends to commence its initial El Aguila campaign before year end.
The IP review identified a number of drill targets coinciding with rock chip assays up to 174.6 grams per tonne gold and 4,739g/t silver, as well as drill intercepts including 0.55m at 40.55g/t gold and 7.0m at 2.48 g/t gold.
Extensive Gold-Silver Anomalies
The upcoming program will also look to follow-up multiple kilometre-scale gold-silver anomalies that returned assays up to 134 parts per billion gold and 35.6 parts per million silver.
“The scale and resolution of our recent field programs at El Aguila have transformed our understanding of the mineral system,” chief executive officer Nigel Broomham said.
“The combination of modern geophysics, detailed mapping, and high-density soil sampling has validated and expanded our target base, particularly around El Aguila Main, South, and the broader structural corridors
The company believes the new datasets not only de-risk the next exploration phase but have added to its pipeline of targets, and it anticipates commencing drilling at El Aguila once it has finalised the permit approval.
Encouraging Geochemical Responses
Mr Broomham said that the recent work programs returned encouraging geochemical responses with elevated gold, silver and pathfinder elements supported by coinciding geophysical trends, while defining three new targets and extensions to the untested mineralised trends at Aguila Main and San Cristobal.
The company will prioritise maiden drill targets at Profundo, Aguila South Central, Aguila Main East Extension, Verbena, and the Lagoon anomalies.
Battery Age has completed environmental baseline studies, along with an environmental impact assessment, as it awaits gaining approval to drill.
