Barton Gold to fast-track next drilling phase at high-grade Tolmer silver-gold discovery

Barton Gold (ASX: BGD) (OTCQB: BGDFF) continues to accelerate its examination of the promising Tolmer silver-gold discovery, with the next round of drilling expected to start next week.
Barton has uncovered a line of seven discovery holes returning three “globally significant” assays since uncovering the Tolmer prospect within the company’s Tarcoola gold project.
Assays from reverse circulation (RC) drilling in April 2025 identified shallow high-grade mineralisation in each of the ‘western silver’ and ‘eastern gold’ zones, extending both along their interpreted strike, with Barton opting to expedite drilling in the area based on that success.
Not wasting time
“We are wasting no time following up our new Tolmer high-grade silver discovery, confirmed just six weeks ago,” managing director Alex Scanlon said.
“The original line of seven drill holes has already returned three silver assays which featured in various ‘global Top 10’ rankings.”
“Tolmer ‘western silver’ and ‘eastern gold’ zones have emerged as dual high-grade silver and gold discoveries, located approximately 500m apart.”
High-grade hits
The best new silver intersection was located just 25 metres west of Barton’s best silver result to date of 6m at 4,747 grams per tonne silver and included intervals of high-grade gold over 3g/t.
Assay results released in late March 2025 for Tolmer’s ‘silver zone’ indicated a distinct silver-dominant mineralisation in association with a broad zone of anomalous lead, where high-grade silver occurs largely independent of gold.
The April assays confirmed that interpretation, with new intersections infilling and extending broad and high-grade silver mineralisation to the west within interpreted oxide and transitional zones.
Geochemical-drilling program
Barton has also encountered high-grade gold within the highest-grade silver hit, which sits at the boundary of oxidised and fresh zones of mineralisation.
The company is undertaking the expedited follow-up geochemical and drilling program to map and drill test the potential western, northern and southern extensions of this ‘silver zone’.
The program will include rapid in-field analysis and RC drilling using Barton’s proven methodology for the application of Portable PPB’s detectORE technology.
The Tolmer prospect is located only 5 kilometres west of Barton’s Perseverance mine at Tarcoola, approximately 130km south-east of the company’s Central Gawler Mill and approximately 70km north-west of the neighbouring Tunkillia project.
