Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) has announced a significant 1.2km mineralised structure at its Arrakis prospect, demonstrating strong potential for both near-surface and deeper high-grade gold zones.
The company also highlighted its robust cash position and planned infrastructure upgrades to support accelerated exploration in 2026.
Arrakis Structure Mapped 1.2km
Yandal Resources' latest reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Arrakis prospect has successfully mapped a primary mineralised structure extending over 1.2km within fresh rock.
Crucially, mineralisation remains open to the southeast, suggesting further potential expansion.
Recent results from the 17-hole RC program included several significant intercepts, including 24m @ 1.3 g/t Au from 136m (incl. 7m @ 2.8 g/t), 18m @ 1.6 g/t Au from 45m (incl. 9m @ 2.9 g/t), and 8m @ 2.7 g/t Au from 95m (incl. 6m @ 3.3 g/t).
**Yandal **aims to use this data to define both broader near-surface mineralisation and deeper, high-grade zones as it refines its geological model with ongoing diamond drilling data.
March 2026 Drilling Restart
The company is set to recommence RC and diamond drilling at Arrakis in March 2026.
This next phase will include 100m-spaced RC lines across the prospect to further delineate the extensive mineralised trend.
Additionally, follow-up RC drilling is slated for the June Quarter to test parallel air-core anomalies, which have indicated potential extensions to the southeast.
Infrastructure and Cash Position
To support its ambitious exploration plans, Yandal Resources is commissioning a new exploration camp next week.
This expanded infrastructure is designed to enhance operational efficiency and accommodate an increased workforce.
Yandal Resources reports a strong cash position, which will fund accelerated exploration across its key target areas in 2026.
These targets include Arrakis, the New England Granite target area, and the Flushing Meadows project.
Previous Exploration Success
This latest update builds on previous positive results from the Arrakis prospect. Earlier RC drilling identified persistent higher-grade gold along the Arrakis trend, with notable intercepts such as 24m @ 1.3 g/t from 136m.
Previous diamond drilling also corroborated regional structural controls and the extensive strike length of Arrakis, confirming the depth potential of the mineralised system.
Beyond Arrakis, Yandal Resources has also reported success at its New England Granite (NEG) prospect.
Air-core drilling at the NEG Salusa Prospect yielded shallow, high-grade gold intercepts, including 6m at 6.3 g/t Au from 36m (including 2m at 18.2 g/t).
The company also announced a high-grade gold discovery at New England Granite in October 2024.
Outlook for Accelerated Exploration
With a clearly defined 1.2km mineralised structure at Arrakis and a robust cash position, Yandal Resources is well-positioned for an accelerated exploration program in 2026.
The upcoming RC and diamond drilling in March, supported by new camp infrastructure, aims to further define and potentially expand high-grade gold zones, building on recent positive results.
