Resolution Minerals (ASX: RML) has announced further strong results from its maiden drill program at the Golden Gate prospect, part of the Horse Heaven Project in Idaho, USA.
While grades in the latest holes are lower than earlier standout results, the intercepts are exceptionally thick, with most continuing beyond the end of the hole, confirming a large mineralised system that remains open in all directions.
Key Highlights
- Broad gold intervals from latest diamond holes:
- HH-GG25-004C: 240.8 metres at 0.64 grams per tonne from surface (open-ended), including 61.6m at 0.98g/t gold from 40.5m.
- HH-GG25-005C: 283.5m at 0.36g/t gold from surface (open-ended), including 42.5m at 0.72g/t gold from 65.7m.
- HH-GG25-007C: 207.2m at 0.42g/t gold from surface, including 3.7m at 2.65g/t gold at depth from 176.5m.
- Previously reported holes include:
- HH-GG25-003C: 253.0m at 1.50g/t gold from surface, including 111.9m at 2.31g/t gold from 130.5m and 18.3m at 3.98g/t gold (highest assay 5.91g/t gold) from 149.4m.
- HH-GG25-002C: 265.2m at 0.60g/t gold from surface, including 89.9m at 1.15g/t gold from 121.9m.
- Six diamond holes now define 600m of strike, with mineralisation open along strike, east, and at depth.
- These holes represent only a fraction of the planned 57-hole program designed to test a 3km strike length.
Why Thickness Matters
While grades in the latest holes are modest compared to earlier hits, the sheer thickness of mineralisation is significant.
Gold starts from surface and contains very little unmineralised rock, meaning much of this material could be mined with minimal waste.
Bulk-tonnage systems often trade grade for scale and low strip ratios—factors that can underpin strong economics when combined with district infrastructure.
Craig Lindsay, Resolution’s Head of US Operations, commented:
“These results materially advance our understanding of Golden Gate. We now have six diamond core holes, all returning broad, continuous gold mineralisation at or near surface. Together they define a large intrusion-related gold system of at least 600m strike that is open in every direction. Importantly, these holes cover only 600m of the total 3km strike length and represent a small portion of the 57 holes planned.
Strategic Advantage
Golden Gate sits just 6km from the fully permitted Stibnite Gold Project and adjacent to a processing site Resolution is acquiring.
This proximity to infrastructure, combined with multi-commodity upside from antimony and tungsten, positions Horse Heaven as a strategic growth opportunity.
The mineralisation style—broad zones with minimal waste—could make future mining highly efficient compared to other bulk-tonnage systems.
Next Steps
- Assays pending for HH-GG25-006C and southern holes HH-GG25-008C to HH-GG25-010C.
- Three shallow reverse circulation holes completed; results expected soon.
- Initial metallurgical testing to commence.
- In 2026, Resolution plans ~45 additional holes to complete the 57-hole program, covering ~2.5km of the known 3km strike length.
Investor Angle
Resolution Minerals is building a compelling case around scale and optionality.
With mineralisation open in all directions and similarities to Perpetua’s Stibnite Gold Project, Golden Gate could evolve into a significant multi-commodity development hub.
