Talga Group (ASX: TLG) has commenced commercial deliveries of its flagship Talnode-C battery graphite anode product to ultra-fast-charging battery developer Nyobolt under a binding offtake agreement.
The first shipment has been delivered from Talga’s EVA demonstration plant in Luleå, Sweden, at the contracted commercial price after final customer qualification and audits.
The milestone marks the transition from qualification volumes to ongoing sales revenue for the product.
The remaining balance of the 3,000-tonne offtake is expected to be supplied from Talga’s planned commercial-scale anode plant in the same area, with construction targeted to begin in 2027 subject to a final investment decision (FID).
Commercial Sales Milestone
Nyobolt has qualified Talnode-C as feedstock for its battery anode technology.
The UK battery technology group recently completed a Series C capital raise at a US$1 billion valuation, which Talga said reflected investor confidence in its ultra-fast-charging systems.
Nyobolt has demonstrated the technology in vehicles capable of charging in less than five minutes—roughly twice the speed of the fastest-charging production vehicles available today.
Talga’s announcement included images of Talnode-C customer deliveries leaving the EVA anode plant in Luleå, underlining the move from development and qualification into physical commercial supply.
High-Power Battery Markets
Talga expects the Nyobolt relationship to demonstrate demand for Talnode-C in high-performance and high-power battery applications beyond passenger EVs.
The company has identified potential growth segments including commercial and industrial drones, hybrid and heavy-duty vehicles, defence hardware, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and AI data centre power solutions.
Talga considers those markets well suited to battery materials that can support rapid charging and reliable high-power energy storage for continuous or mission-critical operations.
Talnode-C’s low internal resistance and ultra-high crystallinity provide high-power capability, ultra-rapid charging, long cycle life, as well as secure European production free of foreign entity of concern exposure.
Further Offtakes Advancing
Talga is also in advanced negotiations with additional offtake parties while new customers progress through the final stages of qualification and onboarding.
Those potential customers include leading international battery manufacturers across Europe, Japan, and North America.
Commercial engagement has increased in recent months across new customers, trading houses, government bodies, and funding institutions.
Talga expects that momentum to help support financing and construction of its mine-to-anode Vittangi anode project.
