Sun Silver Delivers New Silver-Gold-Antimony Assays From Maverick Springs Project

Drilling by Sun Silver (ASX: SS1) at the Maverick Springs silver-gold project in the US has continued to demonstrate grades higher than the existing mineral resource.

Final assays from the extensional and infill campaign returned shallow and thick intercepts of silver, gold, and antimony to improve on the company’s knowledge of mineralisation in the area.

Best results were 102.1 metres at 86.2 grams per tonne silver equivalent (AgEq) (49.1g/t silver and 0.44g/t gold) from 192m including 50.6m at 149g/t AgEq (91.7g/t silver and 0.67g/t gold) from 192m, 10.7m at 1.59g/t gold from 192m with individual gold assays up to 2.95g/t, and 9.1m at 1% antimony with individual assays up to 9.3% from 195.9m.

The drilling further replicates predicted mineralised zones, reinforcing the reliability of Sun Silver’s current geological framework and improving the definition of mineralisation distribution across the resource.

Strong Market Tailwinds

Managing director Andrew Dornan said the assays coincided with a strong silver and critical minerals market.

“Our drilling continues to deliver thick, high-grade silver-gold mineralisation at grades above the existing mineral resource, reinforcing the scale and quality of the Maverick Springs system,” he said.

“The presence of high-grade antimony further enhances the project’s strategic value as silver and critical minerals markets continue to strengthen.”

Silver, which was recently added to the 2025 US Department of Interior Critical Minerals List, led global commodity performance in 2025 and is currently trading above US$100 per ounce.

Well-Situated Neighbourhood

Maverick Springs is located 85 kilometres from the fully-serviced mining town of Elko in Nevada and is surrounded by several world-class gold and silver mining operations including the Carlin mine owned by Barrick Mining.

Nevada was recognised as the world’s top mining jurisdiction by the Fraser Institute in 2022, due to its rich gold, lithium and silver resources, established infrastructure and supportive regulatory environment.

Nearby to the prolific Carlin Trend, Maverick Springs hosts an inferred mineral resource of 237 million tonnes grading 45.5g/t silver and 0.30g/t gold for 347.2 million ounces of contained silver and 2.25Moz of contained gold (539Moz of contained silver equivalent).

The deposit remains open along strike and at depth, with multiple mineralised intercepts located outside of the current resource-constrained model.
