St George Mining Expands High-Grade REE-Niobium Mineralisation at Araxá

St George Mining (ASX: SGQ) has delivered another set of thick, high-grade rare earth and niobium intersections from six new diamond drill holes at its Araxá project in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

All holes returned strong mineralisation from surface and further extended both grade and footprint beyond the current resource boundary.

Executive chair Mr John Prineas said the results reinforced the project’s scale and provided strong confidence in the wider drilling campaign.

REE-Niobium Intervals

The latest assays included significant rare earth oxide and niobium intervals from multiple holes , several of which returned long runs of high-grade material from surface.

Three of the reported holes were drilled to the west of the existing mineral resource and confirmed strike extensions into previously untested ground, supported the potential for a large-scale expansion to the established resource base.

Holes drilled into the northern and central portions of the resource to convert inferred tonnes into the indicated category returned thick intervals of high-grade rare earths and niobium consistent with adjacent drilling across the project.

St. George expects the results to contribute to improved resource classification and provide enhanced support for future economic study work.

Ongoing Drilling Activities

St George continues to operate three rigs on a 24-hour schedule as it pushes to complete the current drill campaign, and has already submitted a large number of additional samples for assay, with results expected to follow in the coming weeks.

Further drilling will focus on both resource expansion and infill areas as the project advances toward an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE).

Mr Prineas said the results highlight the unrivalled quality of the thick, high-grade mineralisation at Araxá.

“All resource expansion holes and resource definition holes have demonstrated consistent continuity and grade, giving us confidence that this drill campaign will transform the scale of the MRE, redefine the value of our company, and further position St George as one of the leaders in the rare earths and niobium sectors,” he added.
