Resolution Minerals (ASX: RML) has confirmed a significant gold mineralised zone in the northern section of the Golden Gate prospect within its wholly owned Horse Heaven antimony-tungsten-gold-silver project in the US.
Assays from the first three holes of a large diamond drilling campaign returned intercepts extending over at least 200 metres width with a true depth of at least 300m and open in both directions.
Best results were 324m at 0.49 grams per tonne gold from surface, with intervals of 92.4m at 0.54g/t from 215.7m, 25.5m at 0.82g/t from 190.2m and 8.7m at 1.05g/t from 62.5m; and 322m at 0.37g/t gold from surface including 30.8m at 0.88g/t from 76.2m and 5.7m at 1.15g/t from 140.1m.
They extend the mineralisation down dip and support prior reported intercepts in a 2025 drill hole at the same site including 15.6m at 1.10g/t gold from 166.7m and 133.7m at 0.55g/t from 376.5m.
Previous gold in soil sample results could potentially extend the mineralisation a further 500m northwards and a similar distance to the south.
Scale and Extent Defined
Resolution’s large drilling campaign at Golden Gate comprised 42 diamond core holes for a total 12,236m at an average hole depth of about 290m, to target and define the scale and extent of the prospect’s tungsten and gold mineralisation.
The campaign followed earlier results that extended the gold mineralisation at least 2,000m south of Golden Gate North, supporting the company’s interpretation of a broader mineralised system at Golden Gate South.
A 2027 exploration program currently being permitted will focus on a 2,000m corridor which connects both prospects, testing open-ended mineralisation to the north of Golden Gate North and including additional infill drilling.
Golden Gate is located immediately adjacent to the recently permitted Stibnite antimony-gold project owned by Perpetua Resources, which is set is set to become one of the largest high-grade low-cost gold mines in the US and the only domestic source of antimony.
Extended Mineralised Zone
Resolution chief executive officer of US operations Craig Lindsay said the new results indicated a potential extension of the gold mineralised zone at Golden Gate North towards a new discovery two kilometres away at Golden Gate South.
“The assay results continue to strengthen a major zone of mineralisation at Golden Gate North,” he said.
“Additional results are pending from Golden Gate South that may better define the dimensions of the mineralised zones and increase our confidence in last year’s gold discovery.”
“On a parallel basis, we are also advancing our understanding of the tungsten opportunity at Golden Gate, and we expect to be releasing tungsten assays shortly.”
