Renascor Resources Unearths Cobalt-Copper at Bulloo Creek, Expands Exploration Footprint

Key points

  • Cobalt-copper mineralisation at Bulloo Creek signals exploration potential.

  • New licences and NTMA progress expand exploration scope.

  • BAM project development continues with strong funding support.

Renascor Resources (ASX: RNU) has reported significant cobalt-copper mineralisation from the Bulloo Creek prospect, part of the company's Olary Project, bolstering its exploration portfolio while concurrently advancing its flagship Battery Anode Material (BAM) project.

The reverse circulation (RC) program comprising 13 holes for 2,340 metres yielded positive results from targeted magnetic anomalies.

Notable intercepts from the Eastern Anomaly included 16 metres @ 901 ppm cobalt from 85 metres in one hole, which contained 1 metre @ 1,440 ppm cobalt and 1 metre @ 1,840 ppm copper.

Another intercept revealed 25 metres @ 231 ppm cobalt from 5 metres and 1 metre @ 3,110 ppm copper from 20 metres.

In the Western Anomaly, one hole intersected 17 metres @ 222 ppm cobalt from 34 metres.

Exploration Footprint Expansion

Renascor Resources is actively expanding its exploration presence in South Australia.

An application has been lodged for a new exploration licence in the Olary district, which aims to extend the company's exploration footprint, including potential gold prospects near White Dam.

Significant progress is also being made towards the execution of Native Title Mining Agreements (NTMA) for the Marree Project.

This advancement is expected to unlock access for uranium targets at Mulgaria and copper-gold prospects within Flat Hill.

Additionally, uranium targeting has commenced at the Wooltana Project with satellite hyperspectral analysis to guide future efforts.

The company is also planning an expanded soil geochemistry program for rare earth element (REE) exploration at Tumby Bay.

BAM Project Development

The company's core BAM project continues its steady progress.

Construction of the Purified Spherical Graphite (PSG) demonstration facility in Adelaide is complete and is now transitioning into commissioning.

This facility is crucial for validating Renascor's proprietary HF-free purification process, a key differentiator for the company's sustainable BAM production.

The BAM project's development is underpinned by a strong financial position, with a cash balance of approximately $97 million as of 31 December 2025.

This is further supported by a $185 million government loan facility, providing a substantial funding runway for ongoing exploration and project development activities.

Resource Foundation and Financial Strength

Renascor Resources' strong foundation is highlighted by its substantial resource base.

The company's annual report details Ore Reserves of 61.8 million tonnes at 7.0% Total Graphite Content (TGC), with total resources amounting to 8.5 million tonnes of contained graphite.

This robust resource, combined with the aforementioned cash and government loan facility, provides ample financial capacity for the company to pursue both its expanded exploration programs and the continued development of its BAM project.

Provisional development authorisation for the commercial-scale PSG facility has also been granted, marking another significant milestone in the project's advancement.
