- 01RDS acquires WA greenfields: Au, Li, Cu, Li-Cs-Ta.
- 02Mt Cauden & Twin Hills drill approvals; rapid targets.
- 03West Musgrave RC prep; $230k grant; Saturn PGE plan.
Redstone Resources (ASX: RDS) has acquired a portfolio of greenfields projects in Western Australia, offering exposure to high-demand commodities including gold, lithium, copper, and Mt Isa-style copper-gold and base metal systems, while providing a low-cost, capital-efficient opportunity to accelerate exploration and unlock shareholder value.
The company finalised the acquisition during the June quarter, prioritising the Mt Cauden (gold-lithium), Twin Hills (gold), Rudall East (copper-gold-base metals), and Cockatoo Rocks (lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatites) targets for immediate evaluation.
A program of work approvals has already been secured for Mt Cauden and Twin Hills, which contain several identified walk-up drill targets.
All projects have been subject to limited historical exploration and are located close to word-class discoveries, presenting an opportunity for Redstone to apply renewed focus and modern exploration techniques to unlock potential value in a Tier 1 jurisdiction.
West Musgrave Drilling
During the quarter, Redstone continued with its preparations for a reverse circulation drilling campaign at the West Musgrave project in WA.
The program will evaluate the EM5, East and West Cigar, and Hiding Maggie magnetic targets in the northeast corridor of the main Tollu copper deposit for potential copper-nickel-cobalt systems.
Planning for the program has included detailed analysis of assays from a deep diamond hole drilled beneath Tollu last year to establish the structural orientation of copper mineralisation and geological units, particularly the relationship between upper high-grade copper intersections associated with the Tollu resource.
Drilling will be co-funded by a $230,000 grant under Round 32 of the state government’s exploration incentive scheme.
Saturn Project Exploration
Post-quarter, Redstone reported plans to advance the Saturn copper-nickel-cobalt-platinum group elements (PGE) and PGE reef project, which covers a substantial portion of the Giles Intrusive Complex in WA’s West Musgrave region.
The project sits within close proximity to the world-class Nebo Babel copper-nickel-cobalt-PGE and Succoth copper deposits owned by BHP Group (ASX: BHP), as well as the Dante PGE reef and massive sulphide project owned by Terra Metals (ASX: TM1).
A limited amount of historical exploration at Saturn identified several encouraging prospects including Halleys, Halleys NW, and the Last Frontier.
Peak metal concentrations from this work of as high as 1.1% copper and 1.1 grams per tonne platinum / palladium / gold show the potential for higher grades within this system.
