- 01Shackle: new high-grade shoot; 3m@16.1g/t (55m).
- 02Bollard: 15m@3.9g/t from 102m confirms continuity.
- 03MRE: update underway; Stage 1 development.
Odyssey Gold (ASX: ODY) has intersected shallow high-grade gold in all three first-pass reverse circulation (RC) holes at the new Shackle target within its Tuckanarra gold project.
The standout result returned 3 metres at 16.1 grams per tonne gold from 55m, supported by intersections of 4m at 5.3g/t from 31m and 3m at 1.7g/t from 44m beneath historical workings spanning about 80m of strike.
Further RC drilling at the project’s Bollard deposit confirmed continuity of plunging mineralised shoots beneath the historical open pit, including 15m at 3.9g/t gold from 102m.
Odyssey will incorporate the latest results into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and mining studies while advancing the initial Stage 1 development at Tuckanarra.
Shackle Opens New Growth Front
Shackle lies on a sub-parallel structure about 500m north-northwest of the Cable deposit within the broader Tuckanarra mineralised corridor.
Historical mining across the field largely targeted shallow oxide mineralisation above the water table, leaving numerous workings and mineralised trends only lightly tested by modern drilling.
Previous exploration at Shackle of one line of shallow rotary air blast drilling resulted in an 8m intersection at 1.1g/t gold that ended in mineralisation at 40m.
The latest RC program confirmed a new high-grade shoot continuing beneath the workings, with the mineralisation remaining open along strike and down dip for planned step-out drilling.
Bollard Shoots Gain Definition
The Bollard open pit was mined during 1992 and 1993, with approximately 191,000t grading 2.7g/t gold for 16,800 ounces presumed extracted from laterite and oxide mineralisation.
Bollard currently contains a shallow open-pit MRE of 0.68Mt at 2.1g/t gold for 46,000oz across the Indicated and Inferred categories.
Recent drilling has confirmed continuity between new and previously reported high-grade intersections across 140m of strike, while the mineralised shoot remains open along strike and down dip.
Infill drilling within and adjacent to the existing MRE intersected further mineralised zones that improve geological confidence, support potential conversion of Inferred Resources, and reinforce near-surface continuity.
Odyssey will now update the Bollard MRE and test the lightly drilled connection with Cable, where previously defined electromagnetic conductors provide a priority target for follow-up drilling.
Broader Resource Pipeline Expands
Tuckanarra contains total Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resources of 6.3Mt at 2.2g/t gold for 451,000oz across its deposit portfolio.
Following completion of the Stage 1 Scoping Study, Odyssey is advancing the initial development while continuing targeted drilling and systematic assessment of further exploration opportunities.
The group has ranked more than 70 priority targets where historical workings, limited modern drilling, and existing mineralised trends provide scope to apply the exploration approach used at Shackle.
These targets include East Lynn, where shallow workings extend for about 600m without drilling beneath them, alongside prospective areas at Bottle Dump East and Highway East.
Future work will test Shackle along strike and at depth, refine the relationship between Bollard, Cable and Highway and assess the deeper high-grade shoot for potential underground mining.
