InteliCare Holdings (ASX: ICR) will deploy its predictive analytics hardware and software platform into 22 residential facilities owned by Victorian not-for-profit aged care provider mecwacare.
The five-year master subscription agreement has a projected total value of $8.8 million and represents the largest contract in InteliCare’s history.
It will see the deployment of InteliCare’s analytics, Internet of Things (IoT) and integrated nurse call platform across mecwacare’s aged care network which services approximately 1,600 residents.
The contract scope will include hardware supply, implementation services and recurring software-as-a-service subscription fees tied to defined deployment milestones, as well as ongoing support and maintenance.
InteliCare’s solution aligns with mecwacare’s aim to establish market-leading, digitally-enabled models of care designed to improve resident outcomes, enhance workforce efficiency and ensure long-term sustainability in the rapidly-evolving aged care sector.
Care Model Development
The agreement establishes a strategic collaboration framework for both organisations to support innovations in future care model development.
“Securing a five-year agreement with mecwacare validates the scalability of our platform and confirms that data-driven, real-time intelligence is becoming foundational to the future of aged care,” InteliCare executive director Tim Chapman said, calling the deal a “a defining milestone for the company”.
mecwacare chief executive officer Anne McCormack said InteliCare would be a strong strategic technology partner for sector-wide transformation.
“The aged care industry is facing significant structural challenges that include increasing cost pressures, workforce shortages, and increasing complexity of resident needs,” she said.
“We are investing in a digital transformation as part of our focus on great client outcomes and this partnership with InteliCare forms an important component of that, enabling our teams to deliver a safer, more responsive and more sustainable resident experience and model of care.”
Trescowthick Pilot Program
The new master subscription agreement follows positive results from a pilot program last year at mecwacare’s Trescowthick aged care centre in Prahan, which supports 60 residents.
The program measured InteliCare’s clinical and operational impact, assessing the platform against 11 pre-defined success criteria covering reliability, care outcomes, and operational performance.
Key outcomes included a 100% falls detection accuracy, reduced overnight welfare checks, integrated nurse call and event consolidation, as well as automated compliance and reporting to deliver measurable time savings and improved governance visibility.
“Our platform’s ability to connect with critical third-party systems and operate as the backbone of Trescowthick’s digital ecosystem allowed consolidation of key operational data streams that enhanced visibility, supported compliance, and delivered positive care outcomes for residents,” Mr Chapman said.
