Green360 Technologies (ASX: GT3) has secured a binding agreement to supply Eifers Civil with up to 4,800 tonnes of its MKX cement replacement product over an initial 12 months.
The contract carries a fixed delivered price of $250/t, representing potential revenue of $1.2 million if Eifers orders the maximum volume.
Together with an existing agreement with Holcim, the arrangement lifts contracted supply ceilings to 9,600t across the respective initial annual terms.
That combined volume represents 32% of the company’s 30,000t annual market-creation target under its production arrangement with Calix.
Eifers is also progressing trials using MKX in its Ecofil lightweight cellular concrete range, potentially extending the product into further construction applications.
Established Concrete Use
Eifers has previously incorporated MKX into concrete for major infrastructure work, including airport taxiway pavement pours and level crossing removal projects.
More than 3,500 cubic metres of MKX-containing concrete has now been placed in Melbourne infrastructure applications, providing operating experience beyond laboratory trials.
The new supply will be delivered to Eifers’ facility near Melbourne Airport through Green360 subsidiary Suvo Minerals Australia, and the binding contract includes technical compliance requirements and standard termination rights, while actual receipts will depend on quantities ordered and delivered.
“Our production arrangement with Calix allows us to supply customers now and build the market ahead of investment in dedicated production,” executive chair Aaron Banks said.
“Our focus is on securing additional customers and growing sales, supported by the scoping study we expect to release this quarter on purpose-built MKX production facilities.”
Production Capacity Support
MKX is a commercially produced metakaolin supplementary cementitious material designed as an alternative to fly ash and blast furnace slag in concrete.
Green360 states the product can replace up to 40% of Portland cement in concrete, supporting its efforts to establish customers before investing in dedicated production infrastructure.
Kaolin sourced from the company’s Pittong operations is calcined at the Bacchus Marsh facility of Calix (ASX: CXL), giving Green360 access to capacity of up to 30,000tpa.
The arrangement allows the company to develop specifications, logistics, and repeat purchasing patterns as traditional SCM supply becomes more constrained.
Commercial Expansion
The Eifers agreement establishes a second commercial supply customer alongside Holcim, but neither the full contracted tonnage nor the associated revenue is guaranteed.
Green360 is pursuing additional customers and higher sales volumes through its existing processing platform while assessing the case for its own larger-scale MKX facilities.
A scoping study on purpose-built production facilities is expected during the current quarter, with the findings intended to inform future capacity investment.
Eifers managing director Dan Eifermann said the material had already been used in demanding infrastructure applications and could help expand its lower-carbon concrete offering.
“We see calcined clay playing an increasingly important role in the future of Australian concrete, and we intend to be at the forefront of that transition,” he added.
