EV Resources Confirms Significant Antimony-Bearing Corridor at Los Lirios Project

EV Resources (ASX: EVR) has identified a significant critical minerals opportunity at its recently acquired Los Lirios antimony project in Mexico.

Successes in the field, in the laboratory, and at the desktop have added to the company's confidence in the project's commercial potential.

On the ground, EV has confirmed an antimony-bearing structural corridor at least six kilometres in length, while recent metallurgical testing and plant engineering studies have identified fast-track opportunities.

Maiden Drilling Campaign

Recent exploration work has uncovered mineralisation across multiple zones with significant structural preparation and continuity.

EV is now examining 310 samples from 27 historical trenches and channels with results to add to its preparations for a maiden 2,000-metre drilling campaign at Los Lirios.

At the same time, the company is progressing preliminary plant layout studies as it awaits the results of vendor tendering for its Tecomatlán antimony plant.

The vendor quotations will help refine capital and operating requirements, with preliminary gravity results from the metallurgical test work supporting the evaluation of concentrate production potential.

‘Strengthened Understanding’

“The recent field program at Los Lirios has strengthened our understanding of the system and confirmed the scale of the mineralised corridor,” chief executive officer Mike Brown said.

“The extent of structural preparation, continuity of stibnite at surface, and large breccia zones provide a compelling foundation for targeted drilling."

"The soon to be completed preliminary metallurgical test work has shown very promising gravity recoveries, suggesting a straightforward path to concentrate production,” he added.

“Combined with the progress made at the Tecomatlán plant, we are establishing the key components required for a rapid evaluation pathway."

Recent JV Acquisition

EV Resources finalised its 70% acquisition of the operating joint venture at Los Lirios in June after announcing it was aiming to add the critical minerals project to its global portfolio in late January.

The company received assays in February from an initial four samples of stockpiled material at Los Lirios, which returned highlight antimony results of 29.17%, 20.44% and 18.08%.

EV is currently preparing for a sizeable geophysics program in the first quarter of 2026 to refine future targets at depth and along strike.

Community engagement remains constructive and supportive of the upcoming drilling, with surface-rights and right-of-way agreements now drafted and progressing positively.
