Eclipse Metals Engages US Strategic Advisory Firm to Accelerate Greenland Rare Earths Strategy

Eclipse Metals (ASX: EPM) has engaged US-based strategic advisory and government affairs firm BGR Group to support the advancement of its multi-commodity Ivigtût-Grønnedal critical minerals district in southwest Greenland.

Under the arrangement, BGR will assist Eclipse in its engagement with relevant US government, defence, and strategic materials agencies while strengthening its potential funding and partnership frameworks.

Eclipse’s US engagement will be led by long-term strategic advisor Lloyd Green, who will coordinate the company’s interface with BGR and broader US stakeholders to enhance its reach into the US policy, strategic materials, and funding landscape.

Strategic Materials Priorities

“Greenland represents one of the most important emerging rare earth opportunities for the West,” Mr Green said.

“Eclipse’s commitment to responsible development, combined with the high-grade potential of Ivigtût and Grønnedal, positions it squarely within US strategic materials priorities and we look forward to working closely with BGR to support the company’s continued progress in Washington.”

Eclipse executive chair Carl Popal considers the appointment a transformational step in elevating Ivigtût-Grønnedal as a Tier 1 Western rare earths asset.

“BGR’s experience at the highest levels of US policy making will be highly valuable as we advance our goal of establishing Ivigtût-Grønnedal as a premier Western source of critical rare earth elements,” he said.

“We are now better positioned than ever to translate our world-class geological foundations into strategic partnerships, government support, and long-term value for our shareholders.”

Ivigtût Drilling Campaign

The Ivigtût project encompasses the historic Ivigtût open-pit mine and the newly-discovered Grønnedal rare earth minerals carbonatite complex.

Eclipse recently completed 503 metres of diamond drilling across two holes targeting the Ivigtût Intrusive, with assays confirming a polymetallic, rare earths‑fertile system with strong carbonatite‑related alteration.

The project’s sulphide phases (galena, sphalerite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, and pyrrhotite) align with previously reported enrichment comprising silver, zinc, lead, copper, gallium, lithium, and rubidium.

Fluorescent rare earth‑associated mineral grains were also observed in core, suggesting the potential for heavy rare earth elements (HREE) and middle rare earth elements (MREE).

Grønnedal Inferred Resource

Grønnedal has an inferred resource of 89 million tonnes grading 6,363 parts per million total rare earth oxides (TREO).

This includes significant potential for neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, terbium and yttrium, positioning it as one of the most significant undeveloped Western sources of magnetic rare earth elements.

Alongside Ivigtût, it presents a critical minerals opportunity directly aligned with US strategic priorities seeking secure, long-term supply chains for rare earths and industrial minerals.
